Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. On my unit the guage does not seem to move upward as the battery charges or is the line to the far left indicate a fully charged battery

The meter on the charger indicates how much power the charger is putting out. The far left is zero (0) output, meaning fully charged. There should be numbers on the meter.

Shop rider sovereign voltage indication. Brand new fully charged

hi Richard,

Does the scooter actually lose power after the 3 leds show ?

If it is losing power then a suggest to try some other batteries to confirm dodgy batteries, check the terminal connections etc.

If it does not lose power then the volt meter is at fault, if you can check the voltage before riding then after it shows only 3 leds , if there is a big drop, check the charger first to make sure the batteries are getting fully charged.

How do I know that the GPS is charging. The light is green when pluged in. Should it not be red then go green Lorraine

On a Nuvi 200W, when you plug in the charger, the battery status icon should go away indicating that you are no longer on battery power and that you are now running on an external power source. You should also hear a beep when you plug in the charger.

To go into charge mode, move the on/off switch to the left like you would be going to turn it off but only hold it on long enough until you hear it beep or the screen goes black and says "Battery Charging". When the battery is fully charged, touching the screen, it should say "Battery Charge Complete". If its not fully charged, touching the screen, it will say that it's still in charge mode.

Power indicatoror

From the manual:

"Attach the barrel tip of the AC Charging Adapter to the AC Charging port of the POWER TO GO® and plug the standard two-prong plug into an appropriate, functioning 120 volt AC outlet. The red Battery Status LED indicator will flash, indicating a proper connection has been made and the unit is charging. The green Battery Status LED indicators will gradually light as the charge level rises. The POWER TO GO® must be charged for approximately 11-17 hours prior to first use. All Battery Status LED indicators will be lit solid (the red indicator will stop flashing) when the unit is fully charged.
