VTech 2 phones simply stopped working simultaneously with messages too far from base, Out of range I thought the line was dead but no, it is the two phones Help modelCS6719-2

Either the batteries are failing or the handsets need to be re linked to the base.. Check the instruction manual

Lighting knocked out a base of VTech 15950. I replaced whole unit, working ok. But old handset, registered with old base shows "Out of range OR No power at base ". It doesn't response to any button.

There is a registration process you have to go through with each handset to connect the old handsets to the new base. It should explain it in the users manual for the base.

VTech CS6629-3 charged and base powered up. However all three handsets read out of range or no power at base any suggestions would be appreciated.

The base station is defective, that is all that will cause this.

Out of range or no pwr base vtech phone on help

Try disconnecting the base from the power supply. Then take the battery out. wait a few minues, then plug baack in and reinsert the battery, and it should work. You might have to reset the date and time. \check the V-Tech site for instructions.Good luck.

My Phone will not connect to the base unit...

My handset displays CONNECTING...
Move the handset closer to the telephone base. You might have moved out of range.

This is what was listed in the Vtech Manual.

What I suggest is not just powering it off, but remove battery and wait a couple of minutes. Put battery back in and try it. The other thing I suggest is a new battery or switching it temporarily with a phone that works, to see if that helps before you buy a new one. If the battery is weak it will have trouble reaching the base.
