Hi There.
If your TV does not have a Shutdown functionality. Then you put the TV off as per normal, via Remotre. Disconnect the main power.
Put Power back on and the TV on again.
Hope this helps!

Rebooting the Garmin Nuvi 255W is done when disconnected to external sources of power or connection to the computer.
The computer connection is used to transfer map data and software updates to the GPS.
The software updates are done using the Garmin WebUpdater program.

When i am about to update my anti virus i can update, it asks me to reboot my computer

A lot of antivirus software will regularly push out software updates. These typically will require and tell they need a reboot to finish the update. Also if you leave your computer on and on auto update it may of installed a update and is pending a reboot. This would then always ask you to reboot if you mash the update button.
If this doesn't answer your question comment back with the Antivirus and version (This is under the "About" or "Help"

How do update my wildfire to the new 2.2

You can update HTC Wildfire to version 2.2 directly on your phone.
Go to Settings and then About phone and there should be a Software Update. It will download the new update and it will reboot and install the Android 2.2 Froyo update.

Note: Although the software is FREE, checking and downloading phone software updates may incur additional data transfer fees from your mobile operator.

Cx4200 epson printer, make noise, feeds paper but comes out blank. Have checked the ink on the cartridges and clean the nozzle heads. Left it unplugged over night

I don't know if the problem was fixed by the update or simply the reboot. (Rebooting just the printer had no effect.) Also, FYI, there had been a power outage right before the problem started, but I'm not sure how that would affect the issue, unless maybe the Mac had installed some problematic software during the reboot that obviously occurred after the power outage was resolved. Sometimes software updates don't complete until the next reboot, and she may have downloaded some updates long ago without completing the process with a reboot. Just guesses, but hopefully some of that help you too.

I am trying to install an Java 6 update 20

If you are using any form of Anti Virus software, it could be stopping the installation process. Go to the SUN Java website, and download the latest version. Save it to your desktop. Take a moment to reboot your machine completely. DO NOT start any other programs after rebooting. Stop or disable your ANTI VIRUS software. Install the JAVA update and reboot. The update should work, and upon rebooting after the install, your AV software should start again. If it is still disabled, enable it.

Cannot get out of Configurating updates: stage 3 of 3 screen

This is all I could find:

It's not only Windows Vista Service Pack 1 that isn't ready for general consumer availability. Some of the updates released on February 12, 2008, as a part of the Microsoft monthly patch cycle, have managed to effectively kill Windows Vista. Users are reporting that, following the introduction of the February 12 updates, Vista gets stuck at the finalization of the deployment of the updates displaying the message "Configuring Updates Stage 3 of 3 0% completes" and then entering
an infinite reboot loop. And there is absolutely no way out for the end users, because canceling the configuration process of the updates is a move equivalent to losing access to the operating system entirely. This will even happen in Safe Mode.

Microsoft has yet to officially respond to the issue, or to provide a resolve or at least a workaround. However, it does seem at this point that there is an issue with the deployment of the pre-requisite updates necessary for the smooth installation of Windows Vista SP1. Namely, the problem resides in the Vista installation software. The fact of the matter is that end users will have to first update the Vista installation software and only then deploy the remaining February 12 updates and only at the end Vista SP1 RTM.

If you are stuck watching the "Configuring Updates Stage 3 of 3 0% complete Do not turn off Computer" and in the endless reboot loop, then stop the cycle and boot from the Vista media. You will need to "Repair your computer," so select your Vista installation and restore it to a point before the deployment of the updates. After gaining back access to your operating system, you will have to install the service stack update, namely Update for Windows Vista (KB937287). Deploy this update before any other on your Vista, and only then install the rest. At this point in time, you should experience no more problems.

"Update 937287 is a prerequisite package that contains updates to the Windows Vista installation software. The installation software is the component that handles the installation and the removal of software updates, language packs, optional Windows features, and service packs. Update 937287 is necessary to successfully install and to remove Windows Vista SP1 on all versions of Windows Vista," Microsoft revealed.

My comptuer reboots when I isntall the software

If after installing your camcorder in XP, the computer is Rebooting on its own, the you must get a Windows update. This is NOT a Samsung Issue. It is a known Microsoft issue with XP. Run a Windows Update and download the update marked: KB822603, USB 1.1 & 2.0 update. This will fix the issue of rebooting. Reinstallation of device drivers may be necessary.
