Do I need a master key to reset my till

Usually damage to the keyboard membrane. Have it checked by a technician.

I believe your talking about the Lucid VS840. If so, you can try two things. 1. You should be able to use your grandsons google act username and password to unlock. Or 2. Do a factory reset. And this is how. Turn off the phone > Hold and Press Power keys + Volume down key at the same time for about 12 seconds > Release keys at "Permanently Erase User Data & Reset Settings?" > Press Power key to comfirm > Press Power key again, then just wait till the reset / master / hard reset finish it process. Hi, The sequence can be one of two depending on the software of your instrument cluster. The first - ignition on, use the arrow buttons on your steering wheel to bring the service icon up, press and hold the 'r' button (Left hand side of instrument cluster, small round black button) for 5 seconds, an audible beep will sound and the display will say service confirmed. The second is - ignition key to position 1, press the 'r' button 3 times in quick sucsession. a menu will appear, then turn the key to position 2 and using the up and down arrows scroll through till the service display is up. Then press the r button once, you will be asked if you want to reset. Confirm using 'r' button.

Resetting Master PIN:

• Remove batteries and put them back. You will hear a long beep and a short beep.
• Press and hold the 0 button until you hear 3 long beeps and the LED flashes red for 3 seconds. You are now in program mode.
• Within 10 seconds, key in a new master PIN (up to 12 digits) and press the UNLOCK button.
• Key in the master PIN again and press the UNLOCK button. The LED will flash green for 1 second and the resetting is complete.

Adding a PIN:

• Key in master PIN and press UNLOCK button
• Press and hold 0 button until you hear 2 short beeps and the LED flashes for 3 seconds.
• Release 0 button and you are in the Add PIN mode
• Within 10 seconds, enter a new PIN and press the UNLOCK button. You will hear one beep.
• Key in the new PIN again and press the UNLOCK button twice. When the LED stops flashing the PIN has been added.

Switch-off your phone.

1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

if you go to menue settings security then phone lock and lock now or auto lock you defalt security code is 1234 for the slvr if you bought your phone second hand id preform a master reset on the phone first and reset all settings back to factory if you want to try that to its menue settings initial set up master reset and def is 6 zeros 000000 hope that helps you

2. Master reset (All memory clear)
There are two possible methods to perform a master reset.
· MRS-1
Used to clear all memory contents and return machine back to its
initial settings and return keyboard back to default keyboard layout.
Procedure
1) Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet.
2) Set the MODE switch to the (SRV¢) position.
3) Plug in the AC cord to the wall outlet.
4) While holding down JOURNAL FEED key, turn to (SRV) position
from (SRV¢) position.
· MRS-2
Used to clear all memory and keyboard contents.
This reset returns all programming back to defaults. The keyboard
must be entered by hand.
This reset is used if an application needs different keyboard layout
other than that supplied by a normal MRS-1.
Procedure
1) Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet.
2) Set the MODE switch to the (SRV¢) position.
3) Plug in the AC cord to the wall outlet.
4) While holding down JOURNAL FEED key and RECEIPT FEED
key, turn to (SRV) position from (SRV¢) position.
5) Key position assignment:
After the execution of MRS-2, only the RECEIPT FEED and
JOURNAL FEED keys can remain effective on key assignment.
Any key can be assigned on any key position on the main keyboard
