Bad LED on Hisense 50H5G, no picture or sound, but the Hisense can be seen with flashlight.

50H5G no picture. Was told due to bad LED. Have heard horror stories on sending back to Hisense for repair, seeing if there is a fixI can perform.

Hi,
Hisense can be unbelievably expensive on parts, consider a salvaged part with a warranty from shop jimmy or similar, much cheaper than the manufacturer but you will have to fit the panel or find a capable friend

SOURCE: My hisense 50 inch lcd tv has picture but no sound.

If you still have back light, then the T-con is probably defective. If you don't have back light, then you either have a bad power board/inverter or a defective panel

SOURCE: I have a hisense 50H5G and i cant figure why it wont go to 1080. Its says 480 and i have a hdmi cable and hidef channels. Please help

Try to change from your HIDEF output setting from 480 to 1080 if output from HIDEF not proper then your TV also not work at 1080

SOURCE: I have a Hisense tv model-32k20dw. I can hear sounds from it and when I did the flashlight test I could see the picture. Already replaced pwr supply. What else could be wrong? Can I fix it?

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

Hisense LED LCD TV, Model 50H5C NO Video No Sound

Your LED backlights are bad and need replacing, it's something you can do yourself but look at some youtube vids before attempting to do it, the panel is extremely fragile on this model set, be careful handling it or it will break then the TV is junk and the money spent on lamp strips is waisted. Also match the old strips to the pictures of new ones as this model uses 2 styles of strips, best place to buy them is shopjimmy.com

I have a Hisense tv that went black i can see the menu with a flashlight is it bad LED strips or the converter. If it is the converter is it in the main power supply any help would be great?

If its an LED set it won't have a converter, and most likely the power supply for the LED lamps is part of the power board, if you would have listed the model I could have pulled the service manual and told you what the voltages should be coming out of the power supply for the lamps

Hisense 50k22dg should i replace led strips first or power board

I would inspect the power board for mushroomed caps and brunt traces. A edge lit led screen has two ribbon cables coming from the power supply, I would unplug one at a time to see if one side lights up. Both led strips rarely go bad at the small time. The problem is most likely in the power supply.

Sound and no picture on a hisense 50 in. tv model no. 50H5G

Yes but to replace all those PCB's will cost the same as a new TV in most cases. and what if it doesn't fix it or the problem is elsewhere.

My Hisense 50H5G LED TV has sound but no picture. I did the flashlight test and saw an image. Does this mean the Tcon board is bad?

No it means you have no picture, you must do the testing to decide if the PCB is defective or not.

Perhaps the backlight LED driver board needs to re-seated.
Also check flex wire connectors for loose connection.
