Sony bravia 65 powerboard overheating

Probably a faulty backlight ot invertor board, slight chance it has a main board issue.
Unlikely to be power supply.

Sharp LCD TV won't turn on

Hi Bruce, don't replace boards without knowing what board is bad, power the set up and test the various power board output rails after it's shut down, if all look ok most likely it's your main that's bad if one or more aren't correct according to the legion on the board it's the power supply.

Samsung un55hu8550, grey line in picture on start up, then picture goes blank. Replaced t-conn, some one said invertor board, but only see t-conn, main and power. Where's the inverter I need to replace?

Could be part of another board. Happens.

tried to disconnect first the supply voltage of the inverter board and then turn on the tv. if the indicator stay which mean the inverter board would be the cause of shut off or the tv turn to safety mode.

Few sec after coming on screen turns black

it seems that your tv is going to protection mode. that means any of the device is not working properly so it is going black. you can try fixing problem by opening the back cover & reseating the cables of power supply & main board. you also have to check the power supply of invertor pcb.

Power light is on but when tv switched on , no picture nothing

if there is black screen & sound is ok the invertor board may be defective. if there is no sound then the main board may be defective. u need to get them replaced.

I turn on my samsung syncmaster710 and it just has a black screen, with a faint (very faint box floating around it. is this a fualty backlight?

The backlight invertor seems to be defective.
Check the main power supply board for bad capacitors (visible damage ) and make sure that the invertor tubes do not light up for a moment when you power up the monitor ( in that case their probably is one or more light tube defective (burnt)) --

Rca p61310 power up for 15 seconds and the power light turns off

Hi, this is a faulty power board. i would replace this damaged circuit board. this Will fix this issue you are having at this moment with your unit.The reason for the on/off cycling fans is due to the power board controllers inability to open the main fan circuit, which shuts off the fans once you power down the unit.

Hi Gina,
A failed CFL in the backlights may be causing this. Also check all the connectors between the inverter and the CFLs.

It stayed on for a couple hours & again this morning it has shut down again! All CFL's ok, checked connectors between inverter & cfls. Still happened. This TV is crazy! Any other ideas?
