Good morning,I have a homelite super2 chainsaw, the pull string doesn't roll back after pulling it to start... what can be wrong and how do i repair it. thank you.

recoil spring or internal movement worn

ask you chain saw repairer/ part supplier
you might be able to get a used off the shelf bolt on replacement or have to pull yours apart

by the pictures
not an easy pull apart repair

new coil spring can let go while refitting it
recoil rope holder is plastic and set into the side casing

looks like you have to undo that side casing of the saw including the rolled hold handle

I my homelite chainsaw was idel screw will not stay were I set it. It keeps making the chainsaw run too high. How can I get the idel screw to stay were I set it?

There should be a coiled spring on the idle screw. Since an idle screw is most often never tightened all the way down, the spring helps to keep it in the desired position by creating tension on the screw.

Homelite chainsaw model 4620c will not idle unless it is in the half choke position

If the jet screws have slot heads, set 'L' CCW about 1/2 turn more or less. If proper, the engine should idle fairly well, yet allow the engine to 'follow the throttle'. If the jet screws have 'D' heads, you will need to either make a 'D' head screwdriver, or take the saw to a service dealer for adjustment. If the chain is trying to turn after the above adjustment, set the idle speed screw CCW until the chain stops trying to turn. Hope this helps!

How do i adjust the carb a homelite super2 chainsaw when i give it gas it quits but will idle

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Inspect the fuel lines for decay/damage. Make sure that all of the carburetor fasteners are tight including those that hold the carburetor to the cylinder. Go to: http://www.drystacked.com for a helpful 12 page article on Walbro carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Pay particular attention to the location of the lower chamber gasket/diaphragm components. The two jet screws are likely to be 'D' headed which means that you need a special screwdriver to adjust them and servicing dealers are supposed to the only ones allowed to perform this adjustment (thanks to the EPA in the USA). Hope this helps!

Hello, I have came upon a Homelite Super2 chainsaw i can get it to start for a seconds then sputters out. Would like to take it apart and clean it up, any help is appreciated and thank you. need a manual.

Check the fuel filter for plugging, the fuel lines for hardness/cracks/splitting, and the air filter for plugging. Check the muffler for plugging as well. If still reluctant, dismantle the carburetor, clean, and re-kit. The lower diaphragm is prone to harden and crack. Good luck!

Idle speed for hoelite classic 200 ut 10791c chainsaw?

Idle speed is not usually set to some specific value, but is set to stop chain movement at idle, but allow the engine to keep running. Hope this helps!

Where is the air filter on a homelite super2?

If you remove the top plastic cover on top of the saw, you will find the air filter under that cover.
