Remove the magazine and take out the stock screw. (45 years gone, I'm thinking)...put the safety between fire and safe and pull back slightly on the bolt handle to get it to come out of the stock.
Clean the gas system with military Cleaning Compound and Solvent, if you can find it. Don't worry about the port itself. It's self cleaning every shot, but the gunk that gets blown out of it sticks to the piston and action bar parts.
BE SURE TO INSTALL A NEW FIRING PIN. There was an advisory on those guns and they need a tougher FP. When they break they sometimes empty the magazine.
maybe theres a stuck plastic there or mud,sand or its cheap like made in china it jams when you pump the shotgun maybe there missing spring or gears or its crack.

I have Bostitch BT200. For probably 15 years. Haven't used it much. Mostly used nails abou 1 1/4 inches. But recent project needed 5/8 inch. It will fire 1 fine. But won't fire another unless I pull the magazine open and push it in. Then it will fire 1 only. Have to open and close magazine every time to fire 1 single nail. It fires longer brads fine. What can I do?
