I always get the 3 because it has the most features. I have three of them now, and they all work great. I think any of them will work with your tv as long as it has an HDMI input.

Chances are you have a bad mother board, you can use the composite inputs if your device has them coming out and still get a HD picture, but like Roku doesn't have those , only a HD output

according to roku support hdmi won't work with the aquos as of today (1/6/2010). i have no idea if it's an hdcp issue or not
