Just recheck your wiring. If there's 2 batteries, then starting from one side....positive to scooter, then neg from this battery linked to pos on next battery, then negative to scooter.

SOURCE: lights on hand control flash off and on and chair will not operat

There is a series of diagnostic flash codes associated with the controller. The diagnosis depends on which color and how many lights are flashing. If you post the combination, I can help you. Or you can download the Basic Operation Instructions of the Pilot Controller from the Pride website. The codes are listed on page two on the troubleshooting instructions.

SOURCE: the battery is charged but the lights just flash

Make sure the charger is unplugged from the chair and that the chair is in gear. There's two levers that place the chair in freewheel, or neutral so you can roll it around. Place these in neutral, then back in gear firmly. If still flashing, turn chair off, wait three seconds and turn back on, then push on the horn button three times. This will take it out of sleep mode. Still not going, you will need to check all clip-on connections to make sure they are tight.

I am assuming that all of the lights are flashing constantly. If it flashes a "fault code", you will get a series of flashes from 1 to 10, then a pause, then a set of flashes. Count the number of flashes and it will tell you what the fault is for that number of flashes in the owners manual. If it is just two red lights flashing constantly, you have a set of dead batteries.

Good luck.

SOURCE: Led lights flash and Pride Go chair won't move.

Firstly disengage the drive levers and then "flick "them in fash.
Second pull out the large plug that is between them.
Check for damaged or bent or loose pins. press it home firmly .
I did this on my wifes chair and she zooms around.
All switched etc should be off during charge.

Lastly i fully discharged then recharged the battery to ensure no "battery charge memory".
To fully dicharge i shoved a small box between back wheels so to lift of ground and then a elastic band to hond controler on.

SOURCE: Chair won't go. Lights flash

Check your freewheel levers. They must be engaged or the lights will flash and the chair will be inoperable. These levers are under the shroud behind drive wheels. (One on each side)

SOURCE: all lights are flashing, and chair won't move when I try to use

The flash codes for the VSI controller used on this chair are located here:
http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
These will tell you what the fault is; repost with more information.

Chair shows full charge, or most of a charge (depending on how long it sets between looking at it), and has limited mobility for a while, after sitting turned off for several hours.

Hi if the batteries r 5 years old it would be a good idea to replace them ...u can't rely on you're charging circuit giving u a true reading on the condition of you're batteries they have to b tested with a BATTERY LOAD TESTER they put a 100 amp load on them this will give u a true reading on the condition of you're batteries ..cheers

Shoprider power chair won't move and 8 Battery LED Lights are flashing

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

Battery fully charged chair levers engaged to drive position chair still will not move.. Jazzy 600.... Tried unlock/lock tried putting it in neutral back in drive with levers still wont move please...

Has your scooter been sitting idle for several weeks, or has it been connected to the charger 24 hours a days for a long time? If so, the batteries may have become damaged and will give you enough power to turn the controller on but not enough to make the motors run.
If the lights come on and are steady, the manual brake levers are in the drive position and the chair still will not move, I recommend replacing the batteries. If anything else were wrong, either the lights would flash or not come on at all.
I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

My Hoveround MPV5 batteries will not charge, do you think it is a battery problem or a charger problem?

If you plug the charger into the wall, turn on the power switch and the light comes on, the charger should be working properly. Here is a way to test it-
Attach the charger that came with the power chair to the power chair controller firmly and turn the power chair on, while the charger is running. What should happen:the lights on the controller will scroll back and forth. If this does NOT happen and you can confirm the charger is turned on, the charger handle is fully seated inside the controller receptacle and the wall outlet has power, then the charger may have a problem and needs to be replaced.

If the charger is OK, then there may be a problem with the batteries. Here are some sypmtoms:
1-You connect the charger but the light on the charger never goes red, it just stays green.
2-You connect the charger but the light goes from red to green VERY fast.
3-The charger light goes from red to green but when you disconnect the charger and press the power button on the controller, you only have one flashing red light, or the batteries drain within just a few minutes of use.
4-The power chair has been stored or sitting idle for several months.
5- The power chair has been connected to the charger 24-7 for several months.
Any of the above examples indicates that the batteries are oxidized or damaged and will most likely need to be replaced. The MPV5 takes two, U1 12 volt 33 amp batteries which can be purchased at any battery warehouse store like Interstate Batteries or Batteries Plus.
Good luck!

WHEN I TURN THE POWER ON FOR MY JT3 ULTRA POWER CHAIR, THE LIGHTS THAT INDICATE THE STATUS OF BATTERY BLINK ON AND OFF (REGARDLESS OF BEING FULLY CHARGED OR NOT) AND THE CHAIR WILL NOT MOVE. SOMETIMES,...

I would replace the batteries with new ones anyway to make sure that you are getting full power and if the problem stops great if it continues then you have eliminated one possible problem. A low battery will cause the problem and these chairs diagnose themselves with the controller giving you flash codes to indicate a problem. I would just check for a loose connection in the wiring when you have the seat off changing the batteries and give the base a good cleaning( without water) (Use those cleaning wipes from dollar store) Hope this helps you

Wheel chair won't move. Batteries have been charging for several hours and have some charge but chair will not move.Any suggestions? Thanks

Romp, Did you check the freewheel levers chair will not move if you are in freewheel. Levers are in front next to seat posts and need to be facing forward. If you are not in freewheel then check the number of lights you have on on the joystick and that they aren't flashing. Also check that your speed control is not on the lowest setting even with some charge a slow speed setting will not let the chair move. Now by some charge you mean lights in the green on the joystick? If the lights aren't flashing then I'm kinda unsure other than even with some charge the batteries don't have enuf current to drive the motors and need to be replaced Hoe this helps

When turning power it makes a clicking sound but does not power up. battery charger has a red and green light on. When plugged in and turned on it flashes 8 times. I checked the power control connection,...

The chair will not move if the charger is plugged in. The flashes are normal with the charger plugged into the chair. The lights on the charger mean that the batteries have been fully charged. Red and yellow lights mean charging. After you unplug the charger from the chair (if off-baord charger, turn charger off or unplug from the wall) then unplug from joystick. after plug is removed from joystick press the on button and all the battery lights should be lit and when you move the joystick forward you will hear the electric bake release and the chair should move forward etc Hope this helps

The chair was outside and got a small amount of rain on it. Now when we turn it on, the lights (that show battery charge) blink fast and it will not move. My dad is grounded until we can figure this out....

Hi. Count how many lights are flashing, it is showing a fault code. Let us know, or contact your local dealer. Check that the free-wheel levers are in the correct place. Good luck. Neil.
