Washer fills and drains, but won't agitate or spin.

Downloaded the manual and went through the diagnostics test. The hot and cold valves work fine, it drains fine but will not agitate in slow or fast and it won't spin. It gives an error code for 'slow pump' or '>3 min pump out'. I took all the hoses apart and there were no blockages and the pump seems to be pumping down just fine. The belt is fine. The motor isn't getting any power during agitate/spin cycle, which I'm guessing is directly related to the error code. Any ideas?

SOURCE: drain pump starts and stops prior to final spin cycle

Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, Catriver..post back.

Possible your outlet filter is blocked, it needs periodic cleaning, which the user can do himself. Locate where this is from your user's manual. Clean out, re-fix. Next it could be the hose that goes from the bottom of the tub to the filter pump; check the former first.

Hi,

You just do this

  • Test the lid switch
  • Inspect the motor coupler
  • Inspect the drover belt (belt drive only)
  • Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
  • Test the motor
  • Inspect the pulley
  • Test the transmission
  • Inspect the Agitator
  • Inspect the pump coupling
  • Test the Water switch level
Good luck !!!

SOURCE: Washer goes half way through wash and starts

Barings probably over heating and expanding due to either dampness, lack of lube, bent broken or misaligned coupling. Is a warranty issue either way unless it was dropped during transit or used exessively on uneven surface. If its out of warranty you might be better of with a new one, trade in if possible.

My fisher and faykel washer model wa37t26gw2 does not fill, and will not drain. diagnostic says plugged drain hose, but it is clear from pump to diverter

Your question does not make sense. You say it does not fill but then you say it will agitate. How can it agitate if no water has filled? Does it beep and give an error code/ If so what is the error?
