Why can't i get the audio back?

Fault with main board. Damaged component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. Loud buzzing noise which became a very loud screech over the last week. Turning tv off and on seemed to remedy it. Today screen was only black and white, now no video only audio. Is this the picture...

This TV uses a lamp and color wheel. the color wheel is likely the problem since it is known to make noise over time and will eventually sieze. The repair is in the $400 range.

Could it be vertical IC loose connection. It is sometimes connected with correct tuning. Check it for crack or wiggling connection best is to resolder.

It seems you have loose or cold solder joint connection problem,causing a cracking sound.The solution is to reworks or resolder the solder joint connection in power supply section, audio section and inverter section...
