Thank you for your reply, but the machine empties OK after the wash cycle but when it clicks onto the rinse cycle the water only trickles out instead of spraying its as though the valve is not opening enough?

I solved the problem, it was the cold water inlet valve which I managed to replace.

Hello there and welcome to fixya
This is a fairly common problem with washing machines, All washing machines have a drain pump that pumps out the water in the drum from the machine to the main drain that your hose connects to.
So what you need to do is to remove the pump and clean it out depends on the make and model of the machine there may be a bout 4 screws that hold on the pump cover or may just be a clip or 2 but once removed you can see the trash that is inside of it you will be amazed on how much change and odd things you will find in there ok? i will post some pictures of these pumps with dissassembly instructions it is really not that hard ok?

Water for intial fill works fine . when it goes to rinse cycle the water just dribbles in making wash time go on for ever ! whats the solution?

when you start the washer set it just on cold and see if it fills slowly, when the washer goes to rinse it just uses cold water, you could have a problem with the washer or in the house, when you run it on just cold and if it dribbles in,stop it shut down the water going to the washer, remove the cold water hose from the back of the washer, stick it in the sink or inside the washer and turn it on,if it comes out strong then you have a bad water valve on the washer,if it comes out slowly you have a bad water valve in the house and it's not the washer.hope this helps

Our LG Fuzzy Logic 8.5kg washer, model WF-T855A is not working in Wash or rinse mode - noise but no movement - Spin cycle OK. Have had periods in the past where water is not evacuated.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

It seems that not enough water gets into the tub. There is no kink in the water line. If you manually add water it drains out before resuming wash cycle. The water doesn't get around to wash the dishes let...

If the machine has stopped half way through due to switching off or power intruption this could happen.

So allow the machine to complete the cycle.
Do no worry running it empty.

It should become OK. If not you have to check the timer if mechanical one, or you have to replace the electronic micro controller programmed PCB.

Kenmore washer. At rinse cycle only, water fills very slowly.

For low water volume - or "Trickling" effect...

1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses.
2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused)
3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside wher you just removed the hose.
4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes.
5. Replace the inlet screens.
6. Re-fit the hose to the machine.
7. Turn on water supply valves.
8. re-try.

Hotpoint washer Won't rinse

your cold water valve will be your problem or you've turned the water supply off, if the supply is not off put the machine on to the final rinse if it fills it will be the main rinse valve gone. The cold water valve is a double one with 2 solaniods. Unplug the machine turn water supply off remove fill hose there are 2 screws keeping the top on, remove them lift the lid off.undo the screws that keep the valve on, take note wiring and remove pull the black hoses off, replace with new one. The resistance of the valve will be around 3.4 kohms

Washing machine

IS THIS HAPPENING ON COLD AND HOT WATER RINSE ??? THERE IS AN ELECTRIC SOLENOID VALVE FOR HOT AND COLD WATER SUPPLY. THESE SOLENOIDS HAVE STRAINERS AND ORFICES THAT CAN CLOG UP WITH SEDIMENT IN THE WATER SUPPLY ... MOST ALL OF THEM ARE CLEANABLE. THIS IS NOT AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ... BEWARE!!!
