Phone and camera cord cut. I have four colors to work with , black red yellow green. What colors are what and what ?

This camera demands a 9V DC 200mA. Not 12V.

Unplug the dryer then remove the terminal block cover and disconnect the 3-prong cord from the dryer. Note that the cord has red , black, and white wires but sometimes the red and black wires are both replaced by same color wire, usually gray and can switch places. There's also a ground strap wire also connected to the center terminal together with the white (neutral) wire.

Get yourself a 4-prong cord and note that it has red, black, white, and green/yellow wires but sometimes, like the 3-pronged one, the red and black wires are both replaced by same color wire, usually gray and can also switch places. All you have to do now is connect the 3 wires in the same manner they are connected as 3-prong cord to the terminal block. The ground strap wire now just need to be connected to the remaining 4th wire, the green/yellow wire instead of the center terminal together with the white (neutral) wire. Reinstall the terminal block cover and it's done.

It can be observed that converting a 3-prong cord to 4-prong cord is merely splitting the neutral line and the ground thereby increasing the number of prongs from 3 to 4 whereas, on the other hand, converting a 4-prong cord to 3-prong cord is merely joining the neutral line (white) and the ground (green/yellow) thereby reducing the number of prongs from 4 to 3.. It's either you convert the 3-prong outlet to 4-prong or the 4-prong cord to 3-prong. But the latter is easier and more feasible. Unplug the dryer then disconnect the 4-prong cord from the dryer. i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. OK now open up the back of the monitor, take the black female connector off you dont need it. you will see a 4 prong female connector part inside cut that off too, then conect the wires black - black / yellow - white / red - orange (i think it was orange) / blue - green . it sounds kinda complicated, but really easy, and now it works great! make sure you use electrical tape or something over bare wires

RED=RED/BLACK=BLACK(both phase hot wires( NO polarity required) WHITE=NEUTRAL/ GREEN or GREEN/Yellow stripe = SAFETY GROUND to units METAL case

mike if you are still having this problem, i figgured out how to fix it. i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. OK now open up the back of the monitor, take the black female connector off you dont need it. you will see a 4 prong female connector part inside cut that off too, then conect the wires black - black / yellow - white / red - orange (i think it was orange) / blue - green . it sounds kinda complicated, but really easy, and now it works great! make sure you use electrical tape or something over bare wires

First off, you should be wiring your power cord directly to the terminal block inside the dryer. If someone just cut off the cord that is terminated inside the dryer, and you are attempting to splice the new cord onto the old one.. you are making a mistake.. take the new cord and bond it directly to the terminal block inside the dryer. If you have a new 4-wire power cord, you are probably dealing with a red/black/white and green wire. ( assuming it is a four prong plug).. The black and red wires are the power lines themselves and should mate with the red and black wires inside the dryer. The green ( is frame ground) and is normally bonded to a stud near the terminal block or the dryer frame. The white is the neutral line and is normally tied to the terminal in the middle and between the red and black tie points.. In line splices should not be done on this appliance.. Hope this helps..
