If the light stayed on AND the tray kept spinning around, or a fan kept running, then I would say you have a bad door switch. But if everything else works like it is supposed to, then you probably have a relay on the main control board that is stuck closed (on) or you have a shorted triac on the main board. Since very few technicians troubleshoot down to the component level or repair boards, you are probably looking at a board replacement - a rather expensive proposition to fix a light that is stuck on.

If the main dial won't turn, you can't switch on or off and can't chose a mode.
There is no way, if something got stuck, to find out what is wrong, without opening the camera. Don't try this yourself.
Only try to turn the main dial, to the left and to the right, to see if you can get any movement in it.
I don't think it would be worth to get it repaired, because camera's are so cheap these days.
You could try to tap the camera, with the dial on the palm of your hand, but be aware a to big of a shock could damage the camera complete, Don't tap it on a hard surface.

Hello Al White - Typically error code ER indicates a membrane switch failure. Meaning that the main control board has detected a stuck key or key pressed for more than one minute. This will need to be checked and a repair performed by a technician since they must do the following: check connection from keypad to main control board, if correct the keypad will need replacing. If error still exists then tech will need to replace main control board.

Disconnect power at the mains power or breaker. Leave it switched off for 60 minutes then turn it back on to see if the error has cleared or reappears. If it reappears then note any error code or flashing lights and call in a repair man.

those stips are just on there by pressure its is easy to change them but if you never done it call some one

i have todat repair my smsung gts8003, i have relpaced main and sub pcbs, lacd and touch screen now it is howing download mode gt-s8003, what is the solution for this

sounds like the fuel pump relay is stuck on. find the relay and replace it. hope this helps mike

possibly the inlet water valve stuck open tho this is rare.

disconnect the valve electrically and see if the fault is still present. if so, the valve is stuck open and needs replacing
