Canon PIXMA1500 prints blank pages

My Canon PIXMA ip 1500 prints blank pages. I went to maintenance menu and tried several cleaning functions but still can't get it to print at all. I also checked the ink cartridges. The manual gives all kinds of troublshooting about different types of printing problems but nothing about printing blank pages.

1) Print the check pattern of the nozzle and you can get the picture about the ink flow of the Canon Pixma.

2) Power on the Canon printer and load an A4 size paper into the input tray. Drag the output tray and pull out the try extender further out.

3) Press the Setup button or tap on the setup icon and select the Maintenance option. Select Print nozzle check pattern in the Maintenance screen and then press OK.

My canon pixma mx712 prints blank pages, how can i fix this?

"It's most likely printing blank pages because the printhead (inside the printer) is severely blocked with old ink - - this can happen if the printer is left unused for a long period.Try the "Cleaning" process which is under the Maintenance tab in Printer Preferences.
If that doesn't help, execute "Deep Cleaning".
If that doesn't help either you'll have to remove the printhead (if it's removable, depends on the specific model) and soak it overnight in warm soapy water.
Let it dry thoroughly (don't use hair dryer or any form of forced heat) before putting it back."

My canon i90 printer wont print. it appears to working perfect but the result is a blank paper. i have installed new cartiages & run all maintenance functions.

It sounds like the printhead is plugged, but there is also a firmware upgrade that helps position the printhead for better cleaning, Canon suggests you try deep cleaning 3 times in printer maint. from the properties menu before replacing the printhead. I use a syringe to put a couple drops of water on the cleaning pads on the right to help with cleaning.

Canon i965 prints blank pages

Yes those printheads do go bad, they burn out just like a light bulb. If you emptied cartridges then the purge/cleaning assembly is working properly, and the only other option is the expensive printhead.

Canon MP500 printer

We have the same problem. I removed the cartridges, then removed the print head. There was lots of ink gunk on the print head. I cleaned it and the problem disappeared completely for a few days but is now back. I suspect the print head needs to be replaced. Still working on it.
