When it powers up (sometimes it won't); after a few minutes the control panel fades out and only shows vertical lines. the power button will not work when this occurs, it has to be unplugged.

there is not a fuse in the printers main board but i can say that there is circuit breaker on the board like fuse only instead of fuse there is a ic that ic has to be replaced if major damage the cost may vary other wise the ic is just under 1$ THATS IS.IF ANY ENGINEER DOES HE WILL CHARGE HIS SERVICE FOR THAT.BUT CALLING A ENGINEER IS ADVISABLE AS HE WILL ALSO CHECK OUT ANY OTHER PART GOING TO BE SHORT IN NEAR BY COMING DAYS.

Hi. There could be a problem with your power adapter. Your printer should not turn off automatically unless you turn it off yourself. Check the power adapter if you have the same amperage that is engraved to the printer. for example, if the printer saya 32V the adapter should also have 32V. Try to reset the power module. here's how to do it.
Unplug the power supply from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, power strip, or surge protector.
If the product uses a power module with a detachable power cord, disconnect the cord from the power module.
Wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the power module.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. Do not use a power strip or surge protector.
Check to see if the power module has an LED.
Reconnect the power supply to the rear of the product.
Press and quickly release the Power button to start a Power On/Off cycle. Do not hold the button down.
