1. Turn on the Sound Bar you are programming.
2. Press and release the "AUX" button on your universal remote.
3. Press and hold the "Setup" button on your remote until the button blinks twice.
4. Type in the 4-digit code listed below using the number buttons. Additional codes may be found in the remote manual. Most likely code

   Others to try
   0209, 0043 most likely (then try 0503, 0695, 1045, 0154, 0156, 0060, 0045, 0043, 0845)
   
5. If the code is entered correctly, you will see two blinks. If the code is incorrect, you will see one long blink.
6. Use the universal remote to operate your Sound Bar (use Power, VOL, etc.)
7. If these steps don't work, try another 4-digit code and repeat the above.

Hi, you will need to access the operating manual for your directv remote. It will have codes in the remote. but most likely it will not work your soundbar as most Directv remotes do not have codes for them, and do not support them. You are stuck using the soundbar remote for your soundbar. The only option you can do is to purchase a learning remote from the store that can program to your directv box and your TV, and you can learn the volume keys to your Maxell sound bar.

I too need this code, if such a code exists. I have found several that control the mute and volume, but none so far control power.

We have code to use with amplifiers, TVs, VCRs, and DVD players. I do not have a code that will work on this sound bar. What is the code you are trying to use? Did Vizio supply a code with your sound bar. They do have codes to use for their TVs to program DISH remotes. Please let me know if you have a code or you can contact Vizio to see if they have a code available.

I have provided the Power Scan instructions on programming the remote to a sound bar. Use the VCR button to attempt to program the sound bar.

Power Scan Instructions Power Scan Instructions

1. While at the sound bar location, point the remote at the sound bar. Press and hold the VCR MODE button on the remote until all four MODE buttons at the top of the remote light up.

2. Press the RECEIVER POWER button on the remote.

3. Press the UP ARROW on the remote, about one press every two seconds. Stop as soon as the sound bar turns off. This process may take several minutes.

4. Press POUND (#) on the remote. The VCR MODE button will flash three times.

(VCR button instead of TV button)

5. Press VCR MODE button, then red TV button on the remote to turn on the sound bar. Press VOLUME on the remote to confirm the remote controls the sound bar. If this does not work, return to Step 1.

Remember to press the SAT MODE button to return to the Satellite mode to change channels.
