I have picture but no audio

go to menu and check to see if speakers are turned on. vol does not work if speakers turned off(or external only turned on)

OK, the set is on if get the menu display and you have sound--either a video circuit problem or a glitch.

Do you get picture via the rear audio and video input jacks? this will rule some things out.

Also if not tried disconnect set, any box used, or a receiver from power for several minutes and power back (possible glitch).

On the TV not the remote, simultaniously press the menu and input button for at least 5 seconds. This should give an error code. If it blinks 3 times then a pause then blinks 2 times, the code would be 32. Get your error code and look in the service book at: http://www.audiolabga.com/pdf/V36-V37-V38_Service_Manual.pdf -

is your tape stuck in the unit ?

Hi! the trouble indicates that your television's picture is the culprit, have your unit check by a qualified technician for verification.

what you suggesting is that the lcd has a good maintenance needs that have to have cold solder or connectors are sulfated

well sorry but this happens to mine to like every 2 years so you need to get a new bulb
