Some dryers have a moisture sensing strip in the drum area of the dryer. If this sensor gets coated with an insulator, like silicon from the backing on carpets, it does not sense moisture. When this happens, the dryer times out and shuts down. This prevents the dryer from running even after the clothes are dry.

Before replacing the motor, check under the console for a motor relay. If a motor relay is present replace it. On some models the relay is part of the start switch. The relay will be a black,square device with 3 to 4 wires on it. There may also be a relay for the heater. If so, replace it too as it may be ready to fail soon.

no pilot light has glow bar ignition ..ck to see if bar glows when start button is pressed should be small plastic cap on bottom of dryer front remove it to ckd for glow and burner operation

You may have a blockage somewhere in your exhaust line. I had to have my professionally cleaned, but it fixed the problem.
