Maybe its the orange tool you're talking about. The tool has two ends. It fits in the blade. The blade has 2 holes. Fit it in the 2 holes and turn it to screw the blade out. Careful not to cut your hands.

SOURCE: Taking apart Jack Lalne power juicer to clean.

If like me you obtained the juicer second-hand minus the manual, you would have a gloopy basket and be frustrated because there seems NO way to remove it.

I realised through the internet that I had a mising part which would remove the basket. But StevenhTims' advice is spot on and now I have a clean juicer ready to reuse!

How do you disassemble the jack lalane juicer?

You use your Orange cresent tool with the 2 metal thingies on the bottom of it. Take off the top of the juicer. Then get the tool and then stick the tool where you see the two holes. Hold down the spinning like grater, and use the tool to turn counter clock wise. Once you do that the Middle part will come off.

No crescent tool included with purchase to remove the blade

Make sure the Juicer is unpluged. What you need is the cresent tool or two metal objects to place in the two holes opposite each other and press down the metal objects in the holes while turning counter clockwise. It kind of acts like a lock and key system.

Taking apart Jack Lalne power juicer to clean.

There are two holes on the surface of the blade. When the juicer was bought, it came with a half moon shaped orange tool that has two posts that fit into these two holes.

By inserting the tool into these holes you can unscrew the blade from the machine as long as you hold the outer screen while doing so.

Once this is done, you simply lift the other pieces off.

If you can't find your orange two prong tool, i would suggest using a screw driver or two that fit into the hole(or two)..... hold the orange screen and turn the blade counter-clockwise..

Hope this helps
