I recently created a gmail account. how do I log on? It goes to my wife's account

After it logs in log out and then log back in with her user name and password.

sounds your account got hi jacked. take pc to repair shop. then create a new gmail account

Log out of her account by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

click on the v at the right hand side on the user name of gmail login screen and it will come up with an option to use another account

Sign out from that account then you will be able to sign in into your account by entering your email id and password.

The problem is that you are not logging out of your account. When you log onto your facebook account you will see at the top right corner of the screen a tab that says account with a downwards arrow, put the mouse over the tab and click. Scroll down to where it says log out and click on that aswell. You should now be at a page where you can imput your information to create your wife's account. Goodluck!

surely i can help you, just go to your gmail and log into your wife account at the bottom you have one option older contact manager click it , one pop pop will open on the right side of popop you can see export tab, click it select only contact and second option Google CSV format (for importing into a Google account). and save it to your computer. Now sign out and log in to your main account once again drop down and click older contact manger , this time click import tap , one box is there to import the file form your computer, now select your wife export file you have done before, now your account have all the contact of your wife gmail account.

There is a very simple solution to this problem. in your gmail account you should be able to invite her to use gmail and just have her create a gmail account all her own, instead of being on a sub account under you.

I have actually never heard of what you are describing before, and I have been a gmail user for years, well, matter of fact since it started.

If she uses her own separate email account, not a sub account of any kind, that will resolve the issues.
