Message ringtone on my phone isnt loud enough.

I have just found out about this problem with my Samsung E250 phone which i have had for 2-3 years now. I have added a default ringtone for the messages i have come through and everything went ok, but when i do have a message come through its very quiet and i cant hear my message. I have tried every setting i could find for sound, ringtones, etc.
It still didnt work and i do not know any other solution that i can try,

Any suggestions???

Laura

SOURCE: Assigning downloaded ringtones Razr V3a

Before you can assign a ringtone to a contact, you must first go to "settings" and then to "ring styles". Click on "Detail" and go down to "Ringer IDs". Make sure it says "On". After that, you should be able to assign a ringtone to a contact by editing the contact details. (Custom ringtones are at the bottom of the list instead of at the top.) Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Unable to upload my own ringtones from my computer

If you have the music on your computer you can send it in a message to the phone and then open the message and apply it as "use as ring tone". Or if you have an old phone that allows you to down load it to the phone directly, then you can send it from that phone in a message to the other phone, open and apply as "ring tone".

SOURCE: ringtone, i set it as, won't work for sms

Try this.
Go to PROFILES.
Select ADVANCED.
Select (ie) NORMAL.
Scroll to SMS TEXT and depress the pearl ball.
Select OUT OF HOLSTER and set to TONE.
Select RING TONE and select the tone you want.
Select VOLUME and set to your preference.
You might want to do the same for IN HOLSTER.
Good Luck! ~ :)

Samsung wave no message sound

I have seen this one or two times with a few of my Samsungs but the only way I have found to fix it is to power off the phone and power it back on. If that doesn't work you might try going through the phone settings and un-checking/rechecking and sliding all possible sound options to make sure nothing is coincidentally set for this.

I am trying to change my text message ringtone. I would like to put a song from my music as a message ringtone.

Thank you for using FixYa,
You can't change the messaging tone to a song from your music playlist, these options for choosing your own music as ringtones are restricted to an alarm tone, phone ringtone and caller ringtone (caller ringtone is when specific people calls you, a certain ringtone would appear for that caller to differentiate between callers)
However, you can change your message ringtone to certain ringtones for your Galaxy S phone by going through the following steps: (P.S I am assuming that you are using the stock Samsung SMS application)
1) Go to your stock Samsung SMS app (it's named as 'Messaging')
2) Press the softkey 'menu' button
3) Go to settings, scroll down and from there you can see the option 'select ringtone'

Cheers!

Message tone

settings-ring styles-loud detail/soft detail/vibe detail-inbox then scroll down and find a ringtone. while in "loud detail" scroll down and make sure the Ringer IDs are ON. now you can personalize every callers ringtone and message tone.

you cant use recorded files as ringtones. they dont give you the option so that you are forced to pay for them but try this website www.myxer.com you can make your own ringtones then send them to you phone via. your home computer.
