My power button is not working my phone was switched off could you pls help me to switch on my phone. power button is not at all working my battery is full and it was switched off.

take out battery ok put back in when switching o n hold power button and top or bottom volume button hold together try top first then after do again then power and down volume try each one

Just format your phone by the following way
To Format the phone
1)Switch off the phone
2)Hold 3,* and Green button simultaneously
3)Now press the power button holding the 3 button, After 5 seconds leave the 3 buttons
4)You phnoe should say, formatting and all your data would be reset to factory orginal

CAUTION: You will loose all the data and contacts stored in phone memory, But this is the only way

The code for formatting the nokia phones is *#7370#. Have you tried it. And before you do that press the power switch enough to give you a list of profiles. Select General profile. and then format your phone.

if you are aking on how to soft reset the system to factor settings then the code is

*#7780# This will soft reset your phone all data, like contacts, calendar and notes, are not removed It will only reset the phone settings, such as profiles, themes and shortcuts.

*#7370# This will also reset your phone all data, like contacts, calendar, notes, profiles, themes and shortcuts are removed. The default lock code is 12345.

there is another way to hard reset you phone completly

make sure battery is fully charged and first switch off the phone then
hold the Green button + *button + 3button and Power button and wait till Formatting appears on the screen

all data will be lost on the phone (not memory card)

Have you tried removing the battery for 5 mins, then re-insert and hold the power button for 10 seconds

To format your cell phone, you need to dial *#7370# and after it gets formatted then just switch off your cell phone and then when your phone gets completely switched off then press and hold the send key (green) and while holding the send key press * (star key) and then number pad key 3 (three) hold them simultaneously and switch your cell phone back on and keep holding those keys till it shows FORMATTING,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Make sure that the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

try to remove the battery on your mobile and press and hold the power button for 10 secs. try to put in the battery. try to power it on. if it doesn't work try to ask your friends if they have an identical phone as what you have, try to borrow their battery. if it works then you need to replace the battery on your mobile.

maybe the switch took off, if power button is not working,, it may have been detached to the board, u may have to check it out or go to a repair shop, to re attached the button

go for hard reset like this,if nothing works ,this is what I do
Hard Format :

Hard Format can be done if your phone is facing any of the problems mentioned below :

1. Blank screen. Phone unable to reboot.
2. Phone only able to boot-up to "Nokia" word screen.
3. Installed some program but not able to uninstall it after that.
4. Error messages such as "Child Installer" keeps popping-up.

Make sure cell battery is atleast 75% charged. If its not then you are putting your cell at risk. If its atleast 75% charged then do the following:

1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.

The procedure takes some minutes (approx. 3-4) so dont panic.

Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations.
