To solve my problem i forgot my nintendo pin

1. Navigate to the Wii Menu by pressing the HOME button on a Wii Remote and selecting "Wii Menu."
2. Look at the date and time displayed on the Wii Menu and ensure they are correct. If incorrect, they will need to be changed in order for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
3. Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
4. Select "Wii Settings."
5. Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
6. Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."
7. Enter your PIN or select "I forgot."
8. Answer your secret question or tap "I forgot."
   • If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
     • Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
   • If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap "I forgot."
9. A screen will appear showing you a request code.
10. With that request code, you will need to do a request that involves charging US$0.50 from a credit card, to confirm that you're an adult. Or should your kids try to circumvent your parental code, it will show up on your credit card bill.

If you no longer remember your PIN, nor the answer to your secret question, you will need a Master key to reset your unit.
The ideal and the recommended way is for you to call Nintendo's customer service ( 800 255 3700 ). They may ask you for your date of birth before giving you the Master key.



However, If you don't have the time to call Nintendo, you can try this:
->Go to parental controls in system settings.
-> tap "yes" when it asks "Change Parental Controls settings?"
-> tap "I Forgot" twice. You will then be given an inquiry number.
-> Using your computer, go to the attached link and enter the number in the field marked "confirmation number" ( Be sure to set the current date in your timezone)

You can now try to reset your settings using this code.

Go into the settings menu, Parental controls, reset parental controls. Click through the confirmation screens, and then it will give you a confirmation code and ask you to call Nintendo.
Instead of calling Nintendo, go to this form and enter the code. Even though it was originally written for the Wii, marcan's reset code generator will give you a valid code that you can enter into your DSi to remove the parental control.

If you have Parental Controls turned on, but cannot remember your PIN, you will be prompted to select and answer a secret question that will allow you to change your PIN in the "Game Settings and PIN" menu

If you no longer remember your PIN, nor the answer to your secret question, then you will need to contact Nintendo Consumer Service for assistance.  To acces and change the parental control settings you SHOULD:

In order to assist you, we will need your Wii Parental Controls Confirmation Number. To get this number:

1. On the first screen of the Parental Controls where you enter your PIN, select "I forgot."

So as you can see you don't have to reset the whole system.Anyway if you really want to reset the wii system try this out:

1.Go to system options
2.Press format wii system memory

That should reset the whole system.

You're going to have to call nintendo to remove the parental controls. They will give you a special code to remove the parental controls.

2. Click on Wii Settings and click the right arrow until you see “Parental Controls”
3. Say “Yes” to “Change Parental Controls?”
4. Click on “I forgot” when it asks you to enter your pin
5. It will ask you for your secret question, click on “I forgot” again
6. The screen will read “If you have forgotten both your PIN and secret question, call the consumer service number listed in the Wii Operations Manual and provide the confirmation number below. You will be issued a master key.”
7. Call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and give them the confirmation code listed on the screen. They will give you a new Master key to enter on the next screen.
