Magnavox TV turns itself on and changes channels

There are a number of companies that make remotes that can mess with someones TV or other remote devices.
I have a watch, as a gag, that will self program its remote to operate any TV capable of this feature. With this watch, I can change channels, power status and even reset the TV to factory default state.
Next time this happens, look behind you.

There is some problem in semi conductor install inside TV from where it catch signals from remote, detect frequency and change and adjust your desire frequency and then your fav channel comes on screen

I suggest you try these steps..

1.Turn the television set on by pressing the "Power" button on the set.

2. Find the "Code Search" button on the Philips Magnavox remote. This button will be labeled or will be a different color than the other buttons on the remote (depending on which Philips Magnavox remote you own)

3. Hold the "Code Search" button down for about ten straight seconds. The light on the Philips Magnavox remote should then stay on.

4. Starting pressing either the "Up" or "Down" channel button on the Philips Magnavox remote. Continue pressing the same button until the television responds to the remote. It could take a few minutes for the channel to change so you'll need to have patience when searching for the remote code in this manner.

5. Press the power button on the Philips Magnavox remote once the channel has changes. If the device shuts off, press the power button again to turn the TV back on. If the TV turns on, the remote has been programmed correctly. Repeat the entire process if your remote is not programmed.

If it doesnt happen when you change the channel or volume on the tv itself then i would recomend getting a new remote. You could probably get one on ebay. Most manufacture remotes will work on all of their tvs.

I had a problem that has not been fixed that i had put glass cleaner on my tv and every time i turn it off it comes back on sooo i do not have a solution so i need more and cheap ways to fix my tv.

chennels board is cut just solting its conect

are any of the front panel buttons stuck?

TV worked FINE for the past 2 yrs---this morning we woke up and the screen is totally BLACK! No sound..nothing. REmote doesn't do anything to the TV. Red light says ON unless we unplug it. Remote won't turn off the TV.
Any advise? Picture tube??
Worked great w/out any problems until we woke up today!
