Welby bug button universal remote control manual. Have tried using standard big button instructions. They don't work. Need specific instructions for the welby. Thanks

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

How do you enyer codes? I can't find my directions? I have the codes but don't know how to enter them to make this thing work

Press and hold the device button (TV for example) until the LED starts blinking. Then release the device button and enter the 3-digit code. If you typed the code correctly, you will see the LED blink 3 times (incorrect codes will have the remote turn off). Then check if the remote controls the functions of the TV. If it doesn't, try another code if several are available for your device/manufacturer.

The manual for the Big Button (TM) remote is here: http://www.bigbuttonremotes.com/support_manuals.asp?pageid=23 . Scroll down for the link to the PDF.

I hope this helps.

I have a radioshack big button universal remote control 15-310. I cannot get it to recognize my panasonic television. The TV is not the newer king. I have tried all the codes given in the pamphlet and...

We did the same thing but if you look at directions you can just aim it at the tv while holding the button ( not sure which button off my head ) and when it finally finds it it will turn the TV off then it is coded. Should just have you do that would have saved time.

Sharper Image jumbo remote will not accept codes

Your best bet is to use the auto-search function of the remote to run through all the choices in the SAT category for the Direct TV box. I know it is more of a cable box, than a satellite box, but there are many code choices for direct TV under the satellite code listings. I think you will be out of luck for the Bose Cinewave. I am surprised that the Panasonic TV codes didn't work for you using the auto-search.

Here are the codes I have handy for Direct TV set-top boxes (SAT button) : 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215, 216 & 217.

And for Panasonic TV's: 003, 054, 055, 062, 070, 148, 170 & 171.

And for Sony DVD's: 009 & 174.

To program your remote to the TV by entering a code, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Enter the first set of 3-digit codes from the list. The LED will blink once every keypress. After the 3rd digit, the red LED will turn off indicating that the code was recognized for the device. If the code was not compatible, the LED will flash several times and you need to return to step 2 to try that code again or to try the next code in the list.
  5. After the LED has turned off, aim the remote at the TV and press ON/OFF. If the device turns off, you have used the correct code and the remote was successfully programed. If the device does not power off, return to step 2 and try again with the next code in the list.

To have the remote try each TV code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.
------------------------------

As I mentioned, try substituting SAT for the Direct TV box, and of course DVD for the Sony player.

I hope that helps.

ONE for ONE - instead of ONE for ALL!!!!

Hello, the codes for each item will be different, if you check your instruction manual you will find a panasonic dvd code and a different panasonic vcr code, but both will be differet to one another as there is no general code.
Many thanks
