How to cold reset in HP LaserJet 1536 dnf mfp

Hi,
Resetting the HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf accomplishes the following:

Clears all data from the printer's memory (including unprinted data, downloaded fonts, and macros).
Stops any printing that is taking place and ejects the page.
Removes some error conditions.
Resets the printer to its factory default settings.

Reset Procedure:

Turn off the printer
Press and hold the Left arrow & Cancel while you turn on the printer
Once you see Permanent Storage Init you can release the buttons.
The printer should now start resetting.

Hp laserjet 4345 mfp cannot photocopy anything because the startup button has a red light

Hi Bridgette.

The red light on the startup-button indicates that the machine is not ready for a photocopy. Usally there is something stuck in automated document feeder (ADF). Take a close look and see if can see something in the paperpath. If no luck, try pushing a A4 sheet manually through the ADF and see if something comes out with the sheet. Usally there is a small piece of paper, a paper clip or a staple stuck in the ADF. If nothing found in the ADF, the Scanner Controller Board is probably broke, and needs to be replaced. Good luck.

Incoming faxes on the laserjet 4730 mfp look like bar-codes. Other print jobs are OK

Hello,
Unexpected image like barcode as shown below can occur when using the automatic document feeder (ADF). You are using the ADF for incoming faxes. So the problem occurs.

If the copy does not look at all like the original document, make sure that no media is on the flatbed glass from a previous copy job.

Magenta pin stripe on HP-CM4730 crossing the full length of page.

Replace the magenta cartridge or replace the plastic clear guide on underside of document feeder if happening using the document feeder
