With laptops and tablets..sometimes when u crack the case to fix one problem .. u end up causing more.. try a good can of compressed air first..and do it over a sheet of white paper.. that way u can see if any thing telling comes out..like pieces of MB or fan blades..i have even seen cases of mice and bug infestation.. better start there first and then take it farther.. also cooling mats and fans do help too.,.
good luck.

I can get the bypass code from HP all you need to do is type the wrong password in three times and give me the system halted or the system disabled code. It can take about 24 hours to get a code back. Hope this helps.

My hp pavillion tx2000 laptop do power on bt doesnt display. it sometimes displayed bt not displaying any longer.pls what can i do.the syst. is touchscreen.

Hi,

I think it would be better if you're going to isolate the problem on your machine. I believe the machine intermittently having a display problem. Try going to this link and follow the steps on how you can resolved the problem.

HI, Can somebody please tell me where the overheating problem from the hp tx2000 comes from? It is not dust on the fan. Is the AMD processor the problem? Would it help if I changed the processor or got a...

If your fan is on the bottom (like many HP's), you need to keep it from lying completely flat. I have a Mini. It's a small unit that goes under the laptop that is open and also has fans. You might be able to find more powerful fans. Also, check for dust build up on the heat sink risers (looks like a little radiator core at the end of a copper arm where your fans are and draws heat away from your CPU.
hope this helps

Hi i have hp 1410, it seems that its working, but nothing appear on the screen.

Hi Thanks for your question.
I'm afraid your laptop developed well known for tx series laptops issue. It looks like your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has gone bad. Check HP website and see if your laptop is under extended warranty (HP issued some extensions of warranty on faulty series of laptops) If this is not a case you'll need to see a professional and possibly replace the motherboard. I'm sorry. This may put some light on your problem ------->http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Hardware/Tablet-PC-tx2000-display-and-wireless-problems/m-p/46834
Good Luck to you.

I want to replace the motherboard of my HP Pavillon TX2000 so that I can have a separate video card. What motherboard that fits HP Pavillon TX2000?

Have you tried A external video card? I think nvidia makes them, you can hook up the videocard seperate of any computer. Try doing a google search on external video cards. Hope this helps.

HP Pavilion tx2000 does not boot, CAPLOCK and NUMLOCK LEDs blink once a second. This happened after using the MagicJack on my laptop for the first time. It kind of worked OK then but next day my computer...

Actually 1 blink of Caps Lock and Num Lock refers that CPU is not functional.
However, to confirm the same. Please remove the battery and check whether it is getting power on only on ac adapter. If it is not then it is the motherboard which is gone bad and if it power on then you need to change the battery only.

Also, there was a recall from hp on some of the models which have same symptoms like you but your model is not covered in that. So its better to take the part no. of motherboard and replace it. If you could provide me the product no of the laptop then I can find the same for you.

My IBM lap top seems to be overheating, it has started to shut down, I just guessed it was from over heating, it has done it quite a few times. It is on a docking station, so I wonder if it isn't getting...

The problem with the laptop is that the Main board fan needs to be clean. It could have accumulated a lot of dust. Try cleaning the fan and the laptop would be faster than before and seize shutting down.

Before that I would advise you to update the BIOS which will be available in the manufacturer's website. This could also resolve the issue.
Fan cleaning must be done in such a way that the laptop must be disassembled and clean the dust in the fan.
Assemble the parts once again and the laptop would be as good as new.

If you fear disassembling the laptop you can contact the manufacturer tech support to have the fan cleaned.
