Well you need to install the driver/software of your player into computer, install them from the cd comes with your player. If you don't have the cd then please follow the below link to download the driver/software -
1. Make sure that the USB cable of your MP3 is known working. 2. Connect your MP3 into different USB port of your computer. 3. Connect the MP3 into different computer to see if there's a problem with the computer or with the MP3.
If the MP3 gets detected using another computer, then there's something wrong with your computer. It could be that there's a drive letter conflict or the USB ports could be weak to detect the device.
have a samsung YP U3 MP3 player that i have installed the software on my computer for. The player charges when I slot it into the USB hole but it appears that the computer does not recognise the player. How do I fix this.
I had same problem with Samsung media studio not recognizing MP3 player. Here is how I fixed it. With the MP3 plugged in, I had to go into System/ Hardware/Device Manager and find the S3 driver under "Windows portable Media" and uninstall it. Then unplug and replug the S3 into the usb so that driver gets reinstalled.
Then I decided windows media player and samsung media studio are unnecessary for transferring music files to MP3 player.
Instead I go into Portable Media Devices from the control panel and just treat the MP3 player like a usb device. I copy folders of music and songs into the Music folder on the MP3. For me this is way easier than the Samsung music studio or Windows Media player.
let it convert and try to transfer.....after it reports failed to transfer, go to default folder for converted file(win7 is documents/video/emodio/videos) copy to s3/s3/video.
I bought a Samsung YP-U3 . It had the installation cd .When plug to usb port It's charging but it shows disconnected...the samsung media studio and my pc don't recognise it, allways ask new samsung YP-U3 found. when i give the path to cd it dint get. Please help me....
Since they didn't include a specific driver, then XP is supposed to download the driver automatically. Restart your computer and try replugging the player into the computer again. Use the instructions on p. 16 of the Samsung manual for installing the software, except skip the part where it says "from CD" - just use the software you grabbed from their site. If that fails, go to the Microsoft website, and get their mtp protocol software (only if you are running Windows Media Player 11). I would guarantee you that this problem is Microsoft's fault, and not Samsung's.
