this code means your scanner has failed to setup correctly. this could be a problem that you would need a qualified tech to service the copier. there is nothing that you can do after you power off and power on (popo) the copier. it could be voltage, pwb board, or a binding scanner assembly.

Enter Diagnostic Mode ( UI Diagnostic Mode).
At the Control Panel, press and hold the 0 key for 5 seconds, then press the Start button while still pressing the 0 key.
Press buttons 6, 7, 8, and 9 on keypad and press Confirm.
Press the Log In/Out button (button with Key symbol) on the Control Panel.
Select System Settings.
Select Common Settings.
Select Maintenance/Diagnostics.

hen look at these 3 locations and see if they match, If they do not set them to match the machine speed.

Xerox machine 5755 scanner has failed no lamp on

This seems to be a common problem on this Xerox Series of multi functions. Your going need to locate a service tech to replace the scanner assembly to get this machine going again.
