Hi, there is no need to try to transfer content from your Android Kindle App to your Kindle as all content that is stored in the Kindle Cloud can be downloaded directly to your new Kindle once it's registered. I have changed the account on the fire hd many times when My Grandma let my mom borrow it. Just go to your Kindle and swipe down the tool bar. Then click "More" and then "My account" and then "De register". You should be able to then register a new user.

Usually the Kindle comes pre-registered to the name used for purchasing it.

However, to register to a different name, open http://www.kindle.com on a PC. Log in using your existing Amazon account or create a new one, following the directions on the web page.

If your Kindle was not registered yet, you can add your device by clicking on "Register a new Kindle" and enter your serial number.

If the device is registered already, it should show up in the list displayed.
