The uL error code is displayed when the electronic control detects an off balance load. This can be caused by overloading, bad bearings in the tub, something between the tub and basket, or an issue with the electronics.

The fault code means UL A/D error. To get rid of this error please follow the steps below.

1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.

2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.

3. If code re-appears, replace control board also called ERC or clock.

1. Turn the ignition to ON do not start.Engine OFF dash board lights ON.
2. Press and release the reset button in the driver information center (DIC) until the OIL LIFE message is displayed.
3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear on the DIC display, press and hold the reset stem until several beeps sound. This confirms the OIL LIFE system has been reset.
4. Turn the key to lock. If the CHANGE OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the ENGINE OIL LIFE system has not reset. Repeat the procedure
Alternate Method
1. Turn the ignition key to ON with the engine off.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. Several beeps sound. This confirms the oil life system has been reset.
3. Turn the ignition key OFF.
4. If the CHANGE/OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure
I use the second method, it is more universal and it works for Chevy Venture too.

UL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load. Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load. If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load....

You can try to clear the Error Codes;

• Unplug the washer for 1 to 2 minutes.
• Disconnect the U.I. (touch pad).
• Plug the washer back in for 1 to 2 minutes.
• Unplug the washer.
• Plug the U.I. back in and then plug the washer back in. Codes should then be cleared.

Most of the time if no mechanical faults can be found the CCU (Central Control Unit) needs to be replaced. I would recommend running the diagnostic cycle first (see image below).
This is a very labor intensive do-it-yourself project, it involves extensive tear down of the washer. If you are not already sure you can perform these checks safely and competently, refer this work to a qualified professional. Working with live electrical current can be very hazardous and possibly deadly. Testing voltage output requires working with electrical current. Do not attempt these measurements without the proper tools and safeguards. First you will need to see if the washer gives that "UL" error while running the washer empty. Start a load with nothing in the washer. If the "UL" error comes up there is a mechanical issue or bad CCU. If the "UL" error does not come up there is most likely a loading issue. A common problem that causes a "UL" error is mechanical friction. I.e. something keeping the basket from moving as designed. You will need to remove the basket from the tub. I have included an illustrated set of instructions (See below). Check between the basket and tub for foreign objects such as socks or other small laundry articles.

2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control.
3. If no damage to wires or connectors, replace door switch.
4. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
5. Plug in range or reconnect power.
6. Press Cancel/OFF key. Program and start the CLEAN mode, and observe for 1 minute to ensure that
operation is normal.
7. Go to step 1 and complete checks.
