That would depend on the make and model of the player. I know my MP3 player is fully charged when the battery gauge shows all green.

most mp3's need a good 8- 24hr charge

what exactly is the problem? no charging port, no charging contacts? no removable battery? if the answer is no to all these it might be new induction charged unit which you will need a special charging pad for. if i am way off base please add a comment to clarify what you have/need

no u need an adapter

1. Plug in usb cable to computer.
2. Plug other end of cable into MP3 player.
3. Turn MP3 player on using the power slide switch. The display should change slightly to indicate charging. (Mine has a picture of a battery that will fill and empty...) Hope this helps!
