I have a 97 mirage DE that the engine light is on. I have had a tune up.it loses power at idle.

When I first start the car and then place it in reverse it loses alot of power. I put it back in park and wait like 10 mins and it runs fine. replaced spark plug wires and spark plugs. I have to let it idle for 10-15 mins

If the battery is not 110% charged or new the engine dies at idle, on my 97 mirage.

replace your alternator,its not charging thats why its draining your battery

I need to raise the idle speed on my 1998 mitsubishi mirage de (1.5 L engine) and cannot find the idle adjustment screw. Anyone know where it is?

there is no idle screw, idle is controlled by the ecm via the ias(idle air control)

Sounds like its time for a tune up. Start there and your mechanic will be able to note any other abnormal conditions. change fuel/air filter and any other maintenance items you haven't done so far.

I would try to clean the IAC with a little CHEMTOOL and see if that helps first.
