SOURCE: Cassette will not load!

I have one doing the same thing. I called Cannon and the told me I would have to send it in for service. Now after reading that about 10 other folks having the same issue, I think Cannon has some issue with the ZR100.

SOURCE: Sony Mini camcorder DCR-HC21 problem with LCD and viewfinder. need help ASAP!!

i have the same problem,i opened the camera, i have taken out the flexible cable, its broken at the hinge...it looks like a bad design of the cable is the reason.

the cable is 1cm in width and at one point when it passes through the
hinge the cable is split into two with .5cm width each. one cable is cut at the pt where it enters the hinge, this cable is stretched to fit into the hinge, guess thats why it broke so soon...

It would be great if some1 can guide on from where and how to get this cable..

SOURCE: black screen on camcorder

I think you have two different issues here. The black screen may be due to a CCD failure. Canon has a worldwide service notice regarding this issue, and will repair your unit at no cost if they determine this is the problem (it sounds like it is).

The little red symbol indicates your backup battery (or date/time battery) CR1616 needs to be replaced. It is located behind a small square panel which you can see to the left of the menu buttons when you open the LCD panel.

Hello, I have a sanyo vm d66p camcorder and want to play it through a tv. What cables do I need ? thanks in advance

You need the RF Adapter cables. I have seen items like that at thrift stores. The camera has that barrel connector
with 6? pins to connect it to the converter box that output to Channel 3-4. Keep checking ebay or craigslist.

Tape will not load; Error code 31:23

You may try the following troubleshooting steps:
Remove the battery of the Camcorder for one minute and re-insert the battery to check whether it works.
You may try resetting the Camcorder by pressing the RESET button located on it.
You may also check whether the issue occurs for all the tapes.
If the issue occurs with all the Tapes then it seems that internal parts of the Camcorder are malfunctioning.
Hence, the Camcorder requires service.

Camcorder Will Not Close

This is due to the improper closing of the cover below the cassette compartment(where the USB, 3894 ports r there)
Pl. close it properly. Then open the cassette door completely, and then close. It works.
