Probably your charger is broken or your charging port is broken. either way, if the charger is broken, its cheap to replace. if the port is broken, its cost a bit more

its either you need a new charger (assuming your charger is broken) or you need a replacement on your charging port (it can be costly, try replacing a new charger)
Some Tablet PCs ships only to their original chargers , some can also be charged through your computer 's USB connection . Are you using the original charger ?
As soon as you connect your iPad to a working charger, it will beep. If you plug in the cable and you don't hear the beep, assume something is wrong. Just find out what, the cable or the charger.
Don't try to charge the iPad with a computer, because the 500 mA a USB connector from a computer can give, is not enough even to start.
But you can use a computer to test the cable, because the iPad should beep and say on the screen not charging.
If there is no beep when connecting to a computer, you have to use another cable. If it beeps, buy a new charger. 5 Volt 2 A. The best an Apple charger.
Some tablet brands will not recognize certain charger brands or connections.
First, try all available connections-USB-wall inverter, and direct computer connection (making sure the computer is awake and logged in). Second, try restarting your tablet. Third, try gently wiggling the connections on both ends, to see if it recognizes a charge. Finally, leave it plugged in for a few hours, even if it says it isn't charging. You may have a trickle charge-to put it simply, the cord is not giving the device enough power to qualify as a charge, but there is power traveling through the cord. If the charge level goes up a little over that time span, you have a trickle.
If these don't work, just purchase a new charger. They're sold everywhere-Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, 7-Eleven, name a store and they probably sell USB charger cords.

This can happen when a faulty charger isn't providing enough voltage/current. Faulty chargers can provide enough power to trigger the 'Charging' indicator and maybe even to power the unit but not enough to energise the units charger circuit. Try another charger (same voltage) or charging it through the USB socket.
Leave the tablet connected to the charger for 5-10 minutes even if doesn\'t work. Then take out the battery and try with master charger and (switch on the tablet) after that, check whether the previous charger is working again or not again. If it doesn\'t show charging sign, then you have to take it to service center to change the charger connector.
does the light come on when you plug in a charger? if so try turn it on with the charger in and on. and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, if theres a light to indicate charge then theres power to it but could be some other fault internally, you have to try the tablet with the charger in and hold the power button for 5 seconds and you can leave the charger plugged in for an hour to see if it says charging just incase its a bad battery.
