How do i put contacts on phone on speedial

Follow these instructions to add new contacts on your Nokia Lumia

• On Start, swipe across and tap People.
• Tap the New icon (+) at the bottom.
• Tap Name to add First name, Surname, Title, Company name etc then tapSave.
• Tap Phone to add a contact number and tap Phone number type to choose the type of number then tap Save.
  If you wish to add further information such as an additional phone number or an email address, tap to add more details or press Save to store the contact to the People Hub.

Speed dial numbers are assigned when you first enter a name and phone number for someone in 'Contacts'. To edit the speed dial number, go to Contacts > (Select the Name of the person you want to change the speeddial # for) > select, Edit > and choose a speed dial number not already assigned. Remember Speeddial #1 is reserved for your voice mail.

OK, usually one cannot use the speed dial feature unless you insert, pauses in the number, IE: you must add 1 second, "Pauses", after and before the number you dial... also you can then add, your access code too, well theoretically anyway..
So, you pause, for 1 sec, then dial the number, pause for 2 - 3, 4, maybe 5 seconds, seconds, then enter your access code and Enter code.
This should then be able you to then speed dial and connect and enter your PIN, all at the same time, if your PIN isn't recognized, try adding more pauses before entering.
If NONE of it works, then you simply have a network/phone that will not do it.

When speedial key is pressed it wont be able to connect.

Okay you have to click the center button on your home screen.
This takes you to the menu.
You should now see in the part of the menu that you're viewing "New Contzct" "contact list" "Groups" "speedials".
so go to the right twice.
And scroll down to Privacy.
Go to Turn Automatic Lock On.
And waa'laa =]

Hi there, got the answer for your second problem , you can change the word you have wrote by pressing the 0 button!

Okay hopefully by now you guys have figure it out but for other who haven't yet... in your list of contacts select and edit the contact you want in position #2 scroll down till you see speedial or the lighnting symbol.. thats where it is set up.
