Mac Keynote Video Converter-Split and Join TM90 1080/60p AVCHD MTS to Keynote...

Convert/Join Panasonic HDC-TM90 HD Videos on Keynote for Presentation-AVCHD MTS to MOV
Embed/Store Converted/Joined H.264 mov Videos to Keynote '09-Mac TM90 MTS to Keynote Converter

I had recorded some .mts videos using Panasonic HDC-TM90 as part of research. I used Keynote to make presentation. I would like to insert the Panasonic TM90 HD Videos on Keynote for Presentation. However, the resulting HD videos are in AVCHD .mts files which could not be imported to Keynote. With the 1080/60p recording mode, the videos play great on the TM90 camcorder, however, Mac keynote is not compatible with this format, not even iMovie, Final Cut or others.

While looking for a solution to add recorded AVCHD videos to Keynote, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac-Best Mac MTS to Keynote Converter is recommended as the partner to Panasonic TM90 MTS for Keynote presentation. It helps easily creating a vivid slideshow presentation with HD videos by converting AVCHD video to HD MOV.

Below is the quick guide to Embed Panasonic HDC-TM90 AVCHD MTS 1920*1080P videos to a presentation created with Keynote.

Step 1: Import/Capture Panasonic TM90 Camcorder AVCHD files to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.
Free Download Final Mate for Mac as a Mac Keynote Video Converter. When Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac is run, it can automatically detect and pop up a wizard for you to capture video from camcorder. The videos would be listed on the "Camcorder" tab.

Step 2: Create a Movie for converting TM90 1080/60p MTS files to MOV for Keynote.
Just select one or multiple mts video files you would like to convert, cut from the Camcorder tab and then drag and drop them to Movie tab. In this way, a Movie for conversion will be created.

Step 3: Splitting and Joining .mts Clips for Keynote on Timeline.
To cut/trim the video, just play it and click the Split button when it plays to the frame you want, and then click the" Delete" button next to the "Split" button to remove the unwanted .mts clips. As Final Mate for Mac is frame-accurate cutter, you can also pause the video, and click the Previous Frame or Next Frame for the exact frame you want to cut.

To "join" another clip to the end of the movie, just select the file, drag and drop to the movie ID. The files will be joined into one file as output.

Step 4: Export H.264 MOV video file for Keynote.
Click the Export button and choose HD MOV as output format. Follow HD Video > H.264 HD Video (*.mov) to choose export format for further sharing your presentations by keynote. In this way, all video clips will be merged as one single movie for keynote.

Tips: You are free to set/adjust output MOV files parameters (Bit rate - high quailty, Frame rate - 30, Resolution/Size - 1920 x 1080, channel - 5.1 channel) to make a good output quality.

After the conversion, I store the mov video on Keynote '09. Drag the Full HD MTS videos to Keynote on Mac,it is easy to display videos on business presentation.

Tips: If you want to import and edit Panasonic HDC-TM90 MTS on iMovie and Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro , you can choose the Quicktime Movie Format > Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) (*.mov) and Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) . AIC and ProrRes was advertised codecs to result in less compression and higher data rate/higher quality files for HD editing in iMovie/Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro.

Software crashes when editing video clip of timeline.

It could be both. Video editing programs are resource hogs and tend to drain all of your resources. Not knowing what computer you have or the amount of RAM or OS you have, it's hard to tell. You can try shutting down other processes running in the background that you don't need before trying to edit the video.

Something else to consider is video software also needs considerable space to place temporary files when editing or ripping into a movie. You should ensure the hard drive that the temp folder is in had plenty of free space.

As far as the video file being corrupt, are you editing one file or are you putting together multiple files? If it's multiple files, it's very possible the file you're working on when it crashes is corrupt.

Hope this helps answer your questions.
Best of luck.

Can't play the videos I've recorded...

The panasonic vidoe are in quicktime - you will need to either download quicktime software to run the vidoe clips or you can convert the file format from quicktime into windows media player format. The codecs you are downloading may convert your files but I am not familiar with GO.

I suggest you download quicktime for now, so you can at least play your vidoes. be sure to check your operating system for the download.

At a later date, you may or may not want to edit them in which case you can download a conversion tool or do so online.

I dont know how to run my video clips continueously without stopping to press play again for the next video clip. I have a Jazz Elite HDV 178.

Often you won't have that option. What you will want to do is to use video editing software on your computer to string together the ones you want to play continuously and then save that. I believe that with the HDV178 software you can reload an edited video to your cam so that you can play it back on the cam to show friends without having to carry a DVD or computer with you.

Hope that helps.
