if it still has a program and the battery is not dead, power off/on with switch on right with key in sm. To just reset the whole thing to factory condition so you can resell it press down check button (3rd up from bottom<csh> key on right while powering off and on again in the sm position. THEN press top left button, then bottom left button, then top right button and finally bottom right button on keyboard
I HAVE BOUGHT A USED ER5200M. I HAVE CLEARD THE PLU'S AND RE PROGRAMMD WITH MY ITEM & PRICE INTO THE PLU'S. EACH NIGHT AFTER I DO "Z" REPORT, THE REGISTER IS STILL TOTALING MY GRAND TOTAL ONTO THE OTHER OWNERS GRAND TOTAL WITH MINE, HOW DO I CLEAR GRAND TOTAL SO IT WILL BE ONLY MY GRAND TOTAL ?
The grand totals are about the only thing that cannot be reset (they are called non resettable grand totals) so you can just turn them off. turn key to program 3 SUBTOTAL 0822 SUBTOTAL 2000 CASH SUBTOTAL Now turn the key to Z mode and press CASH. The machine will print a daily report. Now press CASH again and you should get a small clear report with nothing on it. now you are ready to go. turn key back to REG mode
Are you sure you understand the full programming including machine features setting, memory number programming, department, PLU programming? You will have much more work if you decide to RAM clear the machine. It is better to just edit the existing programming if you want to save time. The only thing that bugs people is the grand total and that can usually be turned off anyway. See what you think
The 1997 to 2003 Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan use a standard key and
remote setup with a separate remote fob. However, the 2004 to 2009 Dodge
Caravan and Grand Caravan use a combination key and remote on one
device. To program a new keyless entry remote for the 1997 to 2003 Dodge
Caravan, you must have at least one functional remote, which is
required to enter synchronization mode. To program the combination key
for the 2004 to 2009 Dodge Caravan, you must have two functional
combination keys. If you do not, you'll need to see an authorized Dodge
dealer for keyless entry programming assistance.
2004 to 2009 Caravan Programming Instructions
Insert one of your working combination keys into the
ignition. Turn it to "On"; leave it in this position for about 10
seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. Turn it to "Off" and remove it.
Insert your second working combination key into the ignition
within 15 seconds of removing the previous key. Turn it to "On". After
10 seconds, you'll hear a chime and the "Theft" light will begin to
flash, entering synchronization mode. Turn the key to "Off" and remove
it.
Insert the combination key you want to program. Turn it to
"On." After 10 seconds, you'll hear a chime; then the "Theft" light will
turn off. When the light turns off, the combination key--including the
key and the remote--is programmed.
Repeat Step Three for each combination key you want to
program. A total of eight can be programmed.
Ignition keys relearn takes about 30 min to do. 30-Minute Learn Procedure 1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON; the vehicle will not start. 3. Observe the SECURITY tell tale light. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF. 4. Turn OFF the ignition switch, and wait 5 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 - two more times - for a total of 3 cycles of 10 minutes. 3x10 = 30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch turn from OFF to CRANK Important: Turn the Ignition Switch OFF. The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. 7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles. Without a scan tool you may have momentary starter interruptions while history clears itself.
