Jazzy 1121 can the joy stick be reset to factory default with out a programmer, and if not what programmer would i need or any idea on a dealer to reset it?

You would need a programmer to set the factory default on this model. The 1121 typically had a Penny and Giles VSI controller. You would need a PP1 programmer to adjust it. Call around to your local dealers and see who has one in their shop. It is a very popular and available programmer. If you bring the chair into them, they will probably program it for no charge while you are in the chair. I know that was my service philosophy for years. The shop will get your business down the road as a loyal customer. It should take less than 15 minutes to dial you in. Hope this helps.

Can i lock the controls on my jazzy 1121

This is taken from the owner's manual from the 1121 with a VSI controller:

I suggest you print this out and keep it handy.

Locking/Unlocking the VSI

The VSI has a feature that enables you to

lock your power chair to prevent unauthorized use.

To lock the VSI:

1. With the VSI switched on, press and hold the on/off key. After 1 second, the VSI should beep.

2. Release the on/off key.

3. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

5. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

6. The VSI is now locked.

To unlock the VSI:

1. Press the on/off key and power on the VSI. The maximum speed/profile indicator should ripple up and down.

2. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

3. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

5. The VSI is now unlocked.
NOTE: If the above procedure fails to either lock or unlock the VSI, contact your authorized Pride Provider.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't charge when plug in to charge chair can move when you use joystick

you have either bad batteries or a bad charger or the charger might have come unplugged at the controller or power module. When you have the charger plugged in and you turn on the joystick the lights on the joystick should ripple to indicate the charger is plugged in. If you don't see this ripple then either the charger is bad or disconnected. Trace the charger cable from the rear of the chair (you have to remove the seat and shroud to do this) to the front module and make sure that the cable is plugged in. Hope this helps

1 red and 3 amber lights flashing after stopping and goes around in circle on a jazzy 1121 powerchair

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:
http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
The powerchair going in circles may indicate a motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.
Good luck!

I have a Jazzy 1121,when I went to plug it in to recharge it, I noticed the lights weren't flashing like they suppose to and plus while it was plugged in I was still able to move the chair, when I...

The chair is not recognizing the charger. If it is an off board charger, check the pins in the conncector to be sure that one has not been pushed back. On board, check to see if the amp meter moves at all.

How to push the jazzy wheel chair when power fails''

There are two levers located on the base of the chair on the left and right sides. Depending on the model, they will be located on top of the base on the front section of the chair base, or on the rear or on the lower sides. Most rotate 90 degrees to disengage the gears so you can manually push the chair. Others are moved up and down, or in and out. Return them to the locked position when done.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't go

If your chair is run by a Pilot VSI controller, the error code----3 red/4 yellow/ 1 green---indicates a controller failure. I am having controller problems of a different kind on a Jazzy 1107 and it appears that few shops will work on the controller. Replacement is very costly.
