My samsung blue ray player i lost the remote and i have a blue in right now and the play button wont play the movie.

go to internet and get the new driver for your blue ray playes follow the instructions and down load it to your player i used a flash drive to load the driver up date . that fixed that problem some still takes a minit or so to load the movie but to is alot faster than before i could not get some movies to load till i updated my driver hope that fixes your problem good luck

There is always a small play button in every DVD player which directly just plays the DVD inserted. You can also settle for a very cheap thirt party remote in case you have lost yours.

On fornt of the player you have the buttons for opreation.You can use these buttons to operate your DVD player with out remote.

I have attached a image for your BD-P1600 player so your reference


1.DISC TRAY :Opens to accept a disc.
2.DISPLAY :Displays the playing status, time, etc.
3.Remote Control Sensor :Detects signals from the remote control.
4.OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON :Opens and closes the disc tray.
5.SEARCH/SKIP BUTTONS :Goes to the next title/chapter/track or goes back to the previous title/chapter/track.
6.STOP BUTTON :Stops disc playback.
7.PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON: Plays a disc or pauses playback.
8.POWER BUTTON :Turns the Blu-ray Disc Player on and off.
9.USB HOST:A USB memory flash stick can be connected here and used as storage when connected
to BD-LIVE. It can also be used for firmware upgrades and MP3/JPEG playback.

After the movie loads and shows "play" highlighted. And only then,press the stop button and then press the play button and the movie should play...hope this helps.

Try to reset the blu ray player's remote control.
Remove the batteries and hold down the POWER button on it for 30 seconds.
Then replace the batteries with fresh ones
