SOURCE: Fill watertank message will not go away

This happened on my unit. There is a magnetic float in the tank that rises when the tank is filled. On my unit, the float (which is supposed to be sealed) took on some water, and stopped being bouyant. I had to break off the clear plastic cap that keeps the float in place, remove the float, and ***** a tiny hole in the float and squeeze out the water. Now (since I have a hole) I have to do this repeatedly - every week or so - though its easy to remove the cap now. Still looking for a replacement part.

SOURCE: Fill Water Tank

When we got ours, i took the back off and taped the magnet to the receiver. this ensures that the message vever appears, it is a very poor set up anyway for waht is an excellent machine. We are careful to ensure that we do not run out of water and this has only happened twice in 4 years - ventilate and your away again.

SOURCE: My Titanium keeps saying "fill watertank" I have

See if the small black float is able to move up and down in the water tank. You have to clean the water tank every so often, it will get slimey in the tank and it's possible some build up is preventing the float from moving up and down.

The float is dark in color and about 1 inch by 3 inches by 1/4 inch rectangular shape. It is magnetic and works a magnetic switch that is inside the machine.

SOURCE: i have the Gaggia Syncrony digital , and it keep

what i did was remove all the screws the units top cover. when everything is exposed, find the white wires that lead to the sensor which would be place to the right of the water tank. cut the wire and connect the two wires together. bypass the sensor unit completely. this will disengage the entire sensor and will not show the fillwater tank message again. "BEWARE" do not let the water tank run dry that will lead the melting plastic parts

Fill watertank display wont go off even when water tank is full

To suggest a solution, I need to know the make, model and age of the machine. In the older models there is a water level float inside the tank. That float rises with the level of water to activate the sensor.
In the newer models the float is replaced by a electronic reeder.

The water light, will not stop flashing, on my DeLonghi cappuccino expresso machine. Tried turning machine off, water tank is full, filter in place. It does not appear that valve is stuck.

There's a float in the watertank that should go up when the tank is full. A sensor in the machine will tell it that there's enough water in the tank. So, the float can be stuck, if not then maybe there's something wrong with the sensor. Or, worse, the main board is broken. Hope this helps a bit.

The water light comes on and stops the machine from working even if water is full

There's a float (with a small magnet) in the watertank. This float should go up when the tank is filled with water.
So the float can be stuck in the bottom position, or the sensor doesn't work.
You can test the sensor.
  • Take the left cover off: two screws on the back, slide the cover backwards, then lift the bottom up and pull the toppart out downwards.
  • On the main board there's a plug right at the top, that's the cable from the watertank-sensor. With the watertank removed it shouldn't conduct.
  • Now fill the watertank, check whether the float is going up, put the tank back in the machine.
  • The sensor switch should be conducting now. It it is, then the problem is in the control board.
Hope this helps!

Hi
The magnet in the water tanks is either upside down or has sunk to the bottom of the tank. It should float to the top of the cage it is in and it should have a flat top not rounded. If its rounded side up the magnet is upside down. This is what would cause your problem.

Screen says 'Fill Watertank' when watertank is clearly full.

Sounds like the sensor that detects system water levels has failed.

If you can see it inside try cleaning it or ask Miele for some advice via their website

I have the Gaggia Syncrony digital , and it keep saying "fill Watertank"but its full, and the float in the watertank is moving freely , Please Help !!

Same problem here. I have found that rocking the watertank back and forth - just enough to lift the front edge of the tank about 1/16", then the back edge 1/16" - will usually fix the problem within 10 to 30 'rockings' when the tank is full. Yes, this often results in spillage under the tank's cover and onto the counter. And, yes, this happens neraly every time i make espresso. What a royal pain in the ****.

I don't know if the problem is in the tank or in the machine. I'm still investigating, etc.

When i turn the machine on the screen says fill watertank. ventilate. the tank is full. i replaced the water level sensor. it still doesn't work. the magnet in the watertank is floating. any other ideas?

gnet goes in the slot. Flat side up. There is a cap that is rectangular in shape that holds the magnet from floating out. We use a tiny drop in the corner of the cap( I mean tiny) in place. That should correct your message.

Fill Watertank Message

The black thing floating in the water tank is a plastic shell with a magnet inside. If you clean it...make sure you reinstall it with the tapered (smaller) side down. There is a slight size difference BUT it will make ALL the difference in the world.

I had no idea there was a magnet in that black/greyish case. The direction of the casing is important.
I had the same problem and that solved it!
