Oyster cards get faulty quite often. If you think your Oyster is faulty, go to nearest London underground station and ask assistance. They will replace your card with a new Oyster, and transfer all your funds into the new one.
If you suspect your Oyster is faulty do not use it, as you can get a big fine, go to nearest station and have it checked.
