I'm not sure if this model is the one that has resistors that go bad. You can actually purchase a pack of resistors in a kit. It will come with solder, the resistors and instructions. You can lay the tv out and take the circuit board out to find the blown components, and replace the bad ones. Takes about an hour start to finish and will cost around $65.00. It has been a few years since I did this, so I'm not sure on the price.

solder the connections to the lcd screen on the sides.. or replace the board. the resistors are the ones that need new solder. you can also replace the board or send it in to be refurbish at low cost.. fast turn around at www.tvpartsandmanuals.com or you can get the repair manual with parts

Your plasma screen is made up of 1080 verticle lines and now a few of these lines are not working. This is the screen itself and needs replacing.

With seeing the picture it will be hard fro me to tell what..I am going to guess according to the information you've provided.
It could a buffer or a signal board(s). This TV is only 4 Months old I would call LG and file a warranty claim. LG (800) 243-0000

plasma control board defective,or plasma display defective. Solution is go to the repair store, normaly is the diagnostics is " Buy a new one"

It depends on color of line.

if the line is black, need to replce PDP module(panel)
But, the line looks like noise, need to change the main board.

I think you have a fault on the picture frame board. If you can check for this yourself or find a competant technician. Hope this helps.
