Slip a sheet of newspaper under the bottom of the machine and it will indicate the area. If is does it when the machine is not running. My guess is that it is around the pump because some water always sits there, so either the pump body or the drain hose itself.

The pump turns on on it own about every 10 / 15 minutes for 4 or 5 seconds when there is no taps on

If your pump is turning on by itself every 10-15 minutes for a brief period when no taps are open, it may indicate a potential issue with the water system or the pump itself. Here are some common causes and troubleshooting steps:
1. **Pressure Tank Issues:**
Check the pressure tank in your water system. A malfunctioning pressure tank or a tank with inadequate air pressure can cause the pump to cycle frequently. Ensure that the pressure tank is properly pressurized according to the manufacturer's specifications.
2. **Water Leaks:**
Inspect your plumbing system for any leaks. Even a small, slow leak can cause the pressure in the system to drop, triggering the pump to turn on periodically. Check for visible leaks and listen for any sounds of running water when all taps are off.
3. **Faulty Check Valve:**
The pump may be turning on due to a faulty check valve. The check valve is designed to prevent water from flowing back into the well or water source when the pump is off. If it's not functioning correctly, water may flow back, causing the pump to cycle.
4. **Waterlogged Pressure Tank:**
If the pressure tank is waterlogged, it can lead to frequent cycling of the pump. You may need to drain and recharge the pressure tank to resolve this issue.
5. **Faulty Pressure Switch:**
The pressure switch is responsible for turning the pump on and off based on water pressure. A malfunctioning pressure switch can cause the pump to cycle erratically. Check the pressure switch for proper adjustment and functioning.
6. **System Overpressurization:**
Excessive water pressure in the system can also cause the pump to cycle frequently. Check if the pressure relief valve is functioning properly and that the system pressure is within the recommended range.
7. **Electronic Control Issues:**
If your pump system has electronic controls, there could be issues with the control panel or the pump's electronics. Check for error codes or indicators on the control panel and consult the pump's manual for troubleshooting steps.
8. **Professional Inspection:**
If you're unable to identify the cause of the issue or if the pump continues to cycle unexpectedly, it's advisable to seek the assistance of a professional plumber or pump technician. They can perform a more thorough inspection and address any underlying problems.
Addressing the issue promptly is important to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on the pump and to ensure the efficiency of your water system.

How do I stop pump from running? Cistern connected pump does not seem to be pressurizing. Pump not cutting off, and getting hot.

Pump probably needs to be serviced. It probably pressurizes a tank and when that tank reaches a pressure the pump is turned off. But just guessing.

Ariston afa 370x leaking water after wash cycle puddle on floor. no problem with anything else

Hello.

When you are doing your laundry and you notice water on the floor that should not be there. A moderately handy homeowner will be able to identify and fix many kinds of leaks. Doing the service your self can save you the cost and hassle of having a service technician come out. Small leaks lead to large ones quickly, and that can result in ruined flooring and the possibility of mold growth. Fix most leaks in a day or less, with purchased parts from supply houses or home improvement stores.

Here are Instructions and tools Needed to solve the problem

  • Flashlight ,Adjustable wrench ,Flathead and Philips screwdrivers
1. Water Supply Leaks

1 Find the source of the leak. Turn on the machine while it is empty, and then look behind it with a flashlight while the tub is filling. Pay close attention to the hoses, and look for drips or running water. Some drips may start out slow, but gain momentum with continued water pressure.

2 Turn the water off. Often, if the water is leaking from the fitting where the hose attaches to the tap in the wall, you need to replace the hose gaskets. Unscrew the hose from the tap by hand or by using an adjustable wrench. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the old gasket out. Place a new gasket in the hose connection where the old one was removed.

3 Turn the water on, and check for leaks again. If a leak is at the fitting or elsewhere on the hose itself, replace the entire hose and gasket assembly. Turn the water on again, and check for leaks. If the machine still leaks, check your work, and then look for other causes.
2. Pump Replacement 1Move the dial to the end of the wash cycle to drain the water from the tub. Turn the water off at the wall supply taps.

2 Remove the top of the washer. In many models, the top pops up when you apply upward pressure to the front of the washer at the joint. Sometimes, you may have to remove part of the instrument panel, which is attached with screws.

3 Look into the cabinet around the tub to find the pump. Pumps are either direct-drive or belt-driven. If you see a belt, you have a belt-driven pump. If there is no belt, it is a direct-drive pump. Remove water lines, and take out the old pump. Replace with a new pump, reattach water lines, and reattach the belt, if necessary. Turn on the water, and check for leaks.

Good Luck and thanks for using fixya.

The rinnai 20 Infinity is perfect but have recently noted a problem. I found the basin hot water tap in the bathroom begin dripping only when the kitchen hot water tap is turned on. I don't know how...

Some taps are designed to release excess pressure but it could just be a dodgy tap washer that leaks when the pressure of hot water in pipe work builds. Change the tap washer in your tap, see if it fixes it, if not it's just the design.

Broken water line or water heater, from winter freeze. When water is turned on tap water goes under the bunk bed area. Could this be the water heater or a hose in the area. We don't know the layout...

Depends on which tap you're turning ON. If it's cold water tap, it's probably a water line. If it's the hot water tap, it could also be a line. As heaters leak, whether the water tap is ON or NOT. Opening a tap valve doesn't cause the water heater to leak. The main question is, was the water heater's tank drained, before the Winter Freeze, when no one was using it? If it wasn't, there's a good chance the water heater will leak too

Hope this helps you solve the leaking water pipes problem. Please let me know Thanks.

Water leaking (dripping) into the drum when machine is off. Drip is coming from where water dispenses into the machine to fill the drum.

Hi just read your posting. The fault with your machine is a faulty water valve.1st turn off the cold tap to the machine and leave for a couple of hrs.If the dripping stops you have a faulty cold valve. If the dripping does not stop then turn off the hot tap and that should stop the leak.Either way to fix this fault a water valve must be replaced.Or you can stop the drip by just turning the taps off after the washing has finished.Hope this helps and please reply for further help if needed.

Iv broke the stop tap off now i cant turn the water off and i have a bad leaking tap in the bathroomhow can i turn the water off to fix the problem ploz help

If you have municipal water, there will be a main shutoff at the water meter. If that is the one that broke, you will have to call the city and have them shut off the water at the street. If you have a well, turn off the pump breaker.

LEAKS WATER WHERE WATER LINE GOES INTO FREEZER.

An easier fix is to redo the connection. Turn off the tap the supplies water to refrigerator, should be on your cold water line under the sink. Remove not on the solenoid valve(blue valve) slide the nut further up the vinyl tubing cut the tubing above the old connection. push the tubing into valve and tighten nut finger tight. turn the tap on a little and check for leaks at the solenoid. If no leaks open tap all the way. If leak tighten nut a little more only until leak stops. then turn tap on all the way.
