Any blocks of colour that are "shaped" are being added on purpose by the machine. Faults on cartridges or the print heads or produce by leaks will be blurred or simple ink blots.
This sounds like the printer can't cope with one of the fonts in your documents. Or perhaps a driver problem?
Try running the test page that is with the printer, perhaps not connected to the computer. If that is OK there's nothing wrong with the printer and it's a driver or font issue.

Why am I missing colors on prints

Could be the print job you send to the printer is set up to print in black and white.
Or the cartridges are full and the nozzles from the printhead are blocked.
Run a cleaning cycle on the printer. If some colour appears continue till all colours are back for all nozzles.
If you did not use he printer for a long time, remove the cartridges one by one and put a drop of cleaning fluid in the pipes in the cartridge holder (where the ink goes in) tun replace the cartridge and print one or two full sized colour photos, till all colours are back.

My Printer prints a Colored Ink. But I type as a black Font Color. Then Black Ink Has full?? pls help me

Hi Carl Montero,
Your issue may be attributed to two possible points of failure. 1.) The Nozzle is clogged, 2.) the ink is already dry inside. You can try to clean the nozzle by doing the following steps. If it does not work, try to replace the cartridge with a new one.
FINE Cartridge Cleaning
1 Press [Menu] repeatedly until appears. 2 Use [ ] or [ ] to select . 3 Press [OK]. 1 Press [Maintenance] repeatedly until appears. 2 Press [Black] or [Color].
FINE Cartridge Deep Cleaning
1 Press [Menu] repeatedly until appears. 2 Use [ ] or [ ] to select . 3 Press [OK]. 1 Press [Maintenance] repeatedly until appears. 2 Press [Black] or [Color].
Note If deep FINE Cartridge cleaning does not improve the print quality, contact a Canon service representative.

When you change the ink cartraige and clean printer and test the colours the quality of colour is not good on the test! what do you segested i try beacaue the machine has been on its 100th clean and...

    1. Print a Print Quality Check Sheet.

    2. Press the Ink or Ink Management key on the control panel.
    3. Press the up or down arrow key to choose Test Print and press OK.
    4. Press the up or down arrow key to choose Print Quality and press OK.
    5. Press Color (Colour) start. The machine begins printing the Print Quality Check Sheet.

    1. Closely examine the Print Quality Check Sheet. Each of the four colors is represented by a slanted square pattern made up of individual blocks. The colors should appear in the following order from left to right: Black - Yellow - Cyan - Magenta.

    2. Compare the print quality of the Check Sheet you just printed with the three examples listed below:

      (A) One or more complete blocks of colors are missing:

      a_ngsample5.gif
      (B) Most of the short diagonal lines are missing from one or more color blocks:

    4. The display will then ask you if the print quality is OK for Color. Press the down arrow key or 2 or "-" to choose No for color with the problem.
    5. The display will then show Start Cleaning? Yes No.
Press the up arrow key or 1 or "+" to choose Yes and the machine will start cleaning the color ink cartridges.
    6. When the machine completes cleaning the print head, press Color(Colour) Start. Another Print Quality Check Sheet will print.

It won't print black ink even with new cartridge and multiple cleanings

Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.

Sounds like the print head carrier, the printerhead has its black cartridge nozzles blocked, due to dryed up ink. Remove the back cartridge and Check the area under it, does there appear to be wet ink? if there is, then the cartridge is working but the nozzles are blocked. If the print head is removeable you might try to sink the bottom a bit in warm water to get the ink to dissolve from the nozzels. It should print after that.

just make sure the head is clean and dry before placing it back into the printer.

let me know how you get along with it.
