SOURCE: The presser foot came off Brothers sewing machine

position the foot under the shaft making sure the horizontal pin on the foot is in line with the horizontal groove on the end of presser foot fitting on the shaft. Lower the pressor foot arm and it should snap right on. If not, press it up manually. the directions should be in your manual. If you don't have your manual, you can get it online at www.brother-usa.com

SOURCE: presser foot lifter is stuck can i fix it

If you can't lift the presser foot up at all undo the presser bar screw on top of the presser bar, if you have a dial turn it to 0, you should now be able to move the lever, if it is still tight put some WD40 on the presser bar and leave it for a couple of hours.

Error message on Pfaff 7570 is "bring presser foot lifter to sewing position?" Is this a fatal error or is this a procedure that has to be done before the machine will operate?

Assuming that the presser foot lifter is working, this shouldn't be a fatal error. The presser foot has to be down to sew. The lifter needs to be in the down position to put the foot down.

The manual for the Pfaff Creative 7570 is available on the product page: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Machines/creative-7570 . The direct link to the manual is http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Creative_7570-manual-EN.pdf?ext=.pdf . See page 32 (page 36 of the PDF) of the manual to see a picture of the presser foot lifter.

I hope this helps.

Where do I get a replacement presser foot lifter for vicor vx1005 sewing machine? Does the part have a name I should search for?

You might try taking your old part to the local Brother dealer. Most likely they can get the part for you.

It may be called several things, but presser foot lever may be helpful.

My daughter is studying costume design she has to provide her own zipper foot (L & R). If she doesn't have a model # for the Brother sewing machine will any Brother industrial foot work? Thanks!!

The Brother should have a model somewhere on the machine unless the label has been removed. There should be a label, perhaps on the back of the machine or near the electrical plug.

She can determine which type presser foot she needs:

http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/sewing-machine-presser-feet.aspx

Or she can take a presser foot from her machine to a Brother dealer or sewing repair shop and they can tell her which foot will work.

Hiya im looking for a manual to a brother vx-1300 sewing machine

Unfortunately, I can't find a free version of the manual for the Brother VX-1300. It is sold here: https://sewconsult.com/product/brother-vx-1300/ . Brother does have a free copy of the manual for the XR-1300, https://support.brother.com/g/b/manualtop.aspx?c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=hf_xr1300eus . ManualsLib has the manual for the VX-1400, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/219385/Brother-Vx-1400.html . One of these other models may be similar to the VX-1300. Their manuals may help you set up your sewing machine until you can get the VX-1300 manual from the above source.

I hope this helps.

E1 flashes on the message window of my brother sewing machine

Brother Computer Codes
  • E1: Make sure the presser foot is lowered before sewing.
E2: You chose a stitch other than a buttonhole stitch or a bar tack stitch and you tried to sew with the buttonhole lever in the lowered position. Raise the buttonhole lever.
E3: If you selected the buttonhole or tack bar stitch and start to sew with the buttonhole lever raised, you will get the E3 code. Lower the buttonhole lever.
E4: You hit the reverse button while the bobbin winder shaft was moved over to the right. Move the bobbin winder shaft to the left.
E5: On automatic sewing machines, the start/stop button was pressed while the foot controller was plugged in. Unplug the foot controller if you are using the automatic function.
E6: This code tells you that the motor locked up because the thread is tangled. Untangle the thread, make sure the machine is threaded properly and that the proper tension is set before continuing.
