How do I fix a tv that turns on but has no picture or sound?
When I turn on the power there is no picture or sound. I've tried unplugging tv and press power button for 30 seconds (no luck). This started when I was watching tv and suddenly picture and sound went out, so I know it is not on a different input. Would appreciate any and all advice.

Hi there
I would go to menu on the remote , from there to picture go down the list, if you do not find anything there to help you. Go to Support and to the E manual .

I've got a Polaroid TV and have had nothing but issues with it. Try unplugging it and leaving it for 10 seconds then plug it back in.
You might also have pressed the PIP/POP (Picture in Picture / Picture on Picture)button, which basically tells the TV to display one input on top of another. I could have the name of the button wrong but it's something similar. If you get it to power up again, try hitting that button till it looks "normal" again.
Sorry but it can't be fixed without knowing how a tv works on the inside. The problem is on the inside possibly in the horizontal section and should be taken to a repair shop
As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.
Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/
