Hi Peter, as a matter of interest check the brush holders, i seen a hugh number of those scooter lose the carbon part of the brush holder on the motor, they should be sticking out slightly or inwards...

otherwise . the throttle pot or wig wag as it can be called.
does the lever seem loose ?

A controller fault and i can test it for free for you , you only pay for the return postage..

Normally a blue unit..

Regards
Rob

Scooter is immaculate & little used new batteries fitted but will only do about 1 mph with speed pot turned to full thanks

Check batteries for volts and load test. if ok it could be the motor brushes need attention, speed pot faulty, Wig-Wag faulty. You may need to get professional help.

Just beeps when wig wag pulled but wont move

It could be the Wig-Wag needs replacing. But are there any fault bleeps or flashing lights. If so count how many and check in the trouble shooting guide of your user manual to tell you what the fault is.

Light blinks six times and stops and then blinks 6 times and stops. Dalton mobility electric scooter.

Could be throttle control not in centre position on switch on. check the throttle control or wig-wag is not loose.

Why when mobility scooter not moving when engaged but when disengaged moving slightly

The unit is not made for "medical approved" market and does not have a POST (Power On Self Test) to confirm wig-wag (throttle) is in neutral when it first turns on. SOLUTION: Put the scooter up on blocks so the drive wheels are off the ground. With the SPEED KNOB turned fully clockwise, adjust the wig-wag (throttle) so the cart will not run and the brake is engaged when the cart is in neutral. There are usually Allen screws in the wig-wag handle that can be loosened and re-tightened once the wig-wag pot is properly centered for neutral.

What does the 7 beep code mean on my Pride Victory 10 scooter mean when I turn the key on ?

This is a speed pot or throttle control problem (wig-wag) have you had some speed issues with the scooter before this happened, if so the wig-wag needs replacing. Make sure it is in the centre position at rest and switch the scooter on again.

Amigo problem

I had this problem similarly on an older trike I owned and still do.
If it stutters as it goes forwards, there is probably an intermittent connection between the wig-wag (the part you push to make the scooter go) and the rest of the electronics. It could be as simple as a loose wire or the whole wig-wag might need replacing. I'd recommend you take the scooter to your local dealer and have them reproduce the exact problem you're having and hopefully they'll be able to recommend a fix.

Is it possible to reverse the drive lever on the invacare lynx scooter as my dad only has use of left arm. At the moment he has to push lever towards him very awkwardly. It would be much easier to simply...

Hi Mark.

Reversing the polarity:There are 3 wires on the Wig Wag Assembly. (reverse the wig-wag function) simply de-solder the 2 outer wires & swap their position & re-solder.I would seek a price for doing the job from an approved scooter repairer, unless you are comfortable doing the job yourself.I hope this has helped,Colin

Scooter beeps when revrse lever depress but will not travel in reverse..

Hi. This problem is usually caused by stuck or worn brushes in the motor.
Can sometimes be caused by worn or incorrect adjustment on the speed lever ( wig wag ).
Also check all battery lead connectors, and all motor lead connectors.
Good luck. Neil.
